Dwill passed Bogues and is now 19th with 6,727 in assists. Guy Rodgers is next in line.

Dirk is now 113 points away from 30k.

James passed Lenny and now has 7,255. Next up is Cheeks, at no 12. He also passed Magic in steals and is now 20th with 1,730. PP is next in line. He is just under 500 point to reach Shaq.

Dwight and Dirk are closing in on rebounds, coming after Willis and Sikma. Respectively.

Guilty pleasure...back when James was not insufferable as much. "Dunk contests are bourgeoisie..."

    Few updates.

Pau overtook Elton Brand in blocks with 1,830. He is now 21st, and 70 behind Dwight.
Speaking of Howard, he passed Kevin Willis for 23rd. 11,923, 31 away from Rodman.

Is it wrong that I hope that Carter (25001) finishes overtaking Melo (25550) before he retires? (this would require Melo to not play another game essentially)

Bron passed Mike! Only around 1200 pts from passing Kobe Bryant.
LBJ also top ten all time assists.

calm down there fella, it's not like he's a real Laker

and these are obviously very empty stats as they don't even affect wins. Somehow we're worse than last year.

Lebron milestones should not be celebrated.

    Gotcha!

Did you say the same thing ("empty stats") when Kobe passed Mike in points during a 27-win season? Bron is going to be a Laker for at least two more seasons after this one. Of course he is a real Laker, though folks who do not root for players in Lakers uniforms are not real Lakerfans.

We are better than either one of Kobe's last two seasons....27 and 17 wins, respectively. Those were the two worst seasons in Lakers history.

Kobe has equity. Bron has nothing here. He’ll get credit once he earns it, and not before.

Lots of Kobefans are finding out that they are not really Laker fans. This is Lebron's Laker team. He is going to pass Bryant in points next season which will be his 17th season. Bron is ranked top 3, whereas Bryant is ranked #12 by Fox and ESPN.

You didn't really explain what you mean by "empty stats" but that's okay!

I actually did, but sometimes people read what they want to read. I addressed it first. Comparing the two is pointless to me. One has balls, and the other doesn't. Anyone who watched Kobe's career is left wanting when watching Lebron.

Will fans give Kobe a pass after coming back from a torn achilles while the front office dropped the ball around him? Yes, absolutely.

First, you’re new here, so please take a minute to read the site rules on putting fans into groups, we don’t do that here

    lakersball.com/pages/Rules/

    6. Excessive Group Attack- Derisively accusing a member of being a part of a group that they have not claimed to be a part of is prohibited. For example “Kobe jocker”, “Kobe fan”, “Liberal”, or “Conservative”, etc… ”

As to your actual post, I don’t know how anyone could say they’re a Lakers fan and must root for Lakers players, but then refer to people as “Kobefans” and then cite Fox and ESPN ranking of Kobe as accurate as to where he stands among the all time greats. My personal opinion, LeBron top 3 and Kobe top 12 is laughable. I can not be a LeBron fan and still be a Lakers fan, and I find someone telling me otherwise as absolute fact insulting. I hated Dwight Howard, Karl Malone is a garbage human being, and Steve Nash can go to hell, but I’m still a Lakers fan. Lastly, I don’t personally understand how someone can root for both the Clippers and the Lakers, but I wouldn’t call you out on it and state that you’re not a true fan because of it, so to kind of question fans’ loyalty because they have more love for a player that gave us everything he had for 20 years than a player who gave us like, some of what he had for not even a full year doesn’t really make sense to me.
