Whether he's wide open for a 3 or taking two dribbles and pulling up I have little to know confidence whats so ever in his jump shot based on what I have seen all of pre-season. And if all that doesn't concern me his decision making is even scarier. Tonight he did have a nice shooting percentage but some of his decisions could have been better. And its not just him, Lin had more turnovers than I would have liked as well. This isn't a witch hunt

He won't look as bad once Swaggy is back eating up a lot of the wing minutes & Wes can bring more energy on defense due to limited minutes.

Basketball players all over the world dream of a chance to play for an NBA team. he accidently got the role of his life as a starter on the LA Lakers.
The previous game was unacceptable. he still acts and talk like hes a rookie. in your fifth season in the NBA how can you still get the pressure control you that much.
He got to loosen up, play his role and not think that much. he has to.

for me Wesley playing good (or another good SF) is the difference for us for reaching the playoffs or not.

Wes is such an enigma. He has the perfect NBA body and athleticism but just lacks a brain. He makes some of the dumbest mistakes/turnovers I have ever seen. And he just laughs when he makes these mistakes, like it's no big deal to him.

Boy, he suck. i don't want him taking any dribble jumpshot ever again. shoot only when youre open or driving to the basket.

At this point I'd take a rusty X over Wes.

The thing about Wes is that throughout his career he hasn't been a very good shooter or scorer, he's never been a good rebounder (but he was decent last year), he doesn't hand out assists, either. So you look for not turning the ball over, blocks, steals, and defense.

This year, he's far worse in the rebounding and assist department than ever before, averaging 3.8 boards per 36 minutes (vs. 4.7 in his career) and 0.6 assists (vs. 1.9 in his career). His scoring isn't up, his blocks are .3 vs. 1.0 career per 36, his steals are 0.6 vs. 1.1 career per 36, and he's picking up 5.1 fouls per 36. In short, he absolutely sucks.

unfortunately, I don't see a better option on the roster at sf. at what point do you start scouring the d-league?

Manny Harris could do this for Vet Minimum.

I think it's fair to say he's gotten worse.

Where is the help defense he showed last season? It's like practicing with Kobe over the summer made him think he's an offensive weapon. The most capable defender on our team and he's been mostly unimpressive on that end.

isn't he more of a sg? then again, if you're not going to defend sfs effectively, I suppose...who cares?

I think it's fair to say he's more a SG, but he can play both, and he and Kobe can switch for matchups.

BTW, Harris averages more rebounds than Wes despite giving up a couple of inches.

Wes's D is brutally awful. Blessed physical genetics, pea brain.
