Another perfect example of why we should hold off on making extreme, definitive statements about players after a few games.
Yeah thought Gasol already proved that too a couple games ago but people still b****ing about how slow he is at the “start” of the season.
I dont, you tell me? do you know all that goes into +/-? genuine question and btw every starter was a + last night except Lebron he was a -1
Most human beings define their existence by complaining. Common sense is a talent not so much something inherently there. People think everyone should be Lebron and AD just because they get paid like them or whatever. Best thing to do is either stay quiet or make fun of that person so bad they go back into their shell.
True, but that goes both ways. Green hit 7 threes in his first game with us, so I’m not going to get too excited about the game Wes had yet. ... okay who am I kidding, it was very exciting to see him splash in those 6 threes! Even if he rarely has another game where he’s hitting from deep at this same volume, to know that he’s capable of it at the price we got him is very promising.
Glad Kief is providing even more value (thanks Clipps). To a lesser degree I imagine Dudz could help give him some tips, too.
And this is exactly what I thought was going on. He’s been a starter his entire career. He was a starter on the Bucks last year, a contender. It was going to take some getting used to a new team and a new role. As I’ve said before, I think he should be a starter in this team. Obviously not in place of KCP but alongside him IMO. But with Schroder kind of forcing the issue with the starting PG role and us trying to get him extended here, Wes has to come off the bench instead. Later in the year and the playoffs he might get some starting times I think depending on matchups. But for now, small steps. Glad to see him getting into a shooting rhythm. The defense was already there. He’s already way better than Danny Green.
He needs more shot opportunities, honestly. He's passing too many shots to get others involved. He's 0-2 from three in five games and that few attempts per game is not enough to get his flow going. He needs 6-7 threes per game. Speaking of Danny Green.... he's 28% from three this season. New season, same Danny.
Pretty nice game tonight by Wes adding to the good effort from our bench. I thought he was going to start, but Kuz did well in that role. Would still like to see him with the starters some time.
I think he's found his shot, and his defense is extremely valuable. Obviously, he's still adapting to his new role...He's getting there, slowly but surely.
i don't watch phi gm, but based on their point differential so far they're killing it but Green bum a** keeps getting worse lol
Huge 3rd Q. He just needs those starter minutes to be able to get into a rhythm with that 3 ball. Started off with a few clanks, but had the PT and Bron to get him out of it. I think we almost have to make a point to force feed him a bit like we did in that play out of the timeout.
If that's the logic, start him against all the Eastern teams cause he saw them more than we did last year.
