i like wes and hope he gets a ring. thought he had a good chance to last year with us until the injury bug bit.
watching the bucks-mavs game and wes is playing great. would've much rather kept him than sign bazemore
at some point, when literally everyone plays better on other teams, you have to wonder what you're doing wrong.
and we refused to cut our losses and try out other guys with that spot because of the luxury tax, like we're the hornets or something.
right, but are we going to always lean on the "couldn't handle the bright lights" talk? why do good shooters not do it here? i guess we have bad shooters that do better here, too, though, so who knows?
There was more defense on this play than most of our new guys played ALL year. And then this stat against Tatum Don't get it.
You have to think with Wes at least, he was not put in a position to succeed. I would also say similar with Schröder not coming off the bench to run pick n roll with Harrell. Those players aren’t amazing, but they weren’t playing the correct roles either, a playmaking PG is pointless next to LeBron.
Frank seemed to have tunnel vision in “his type of guy” if you didn’t fit the mold, it just seemed like you didn’t play. he might have been escaped goat in some ways, but I don’t I don’t think there’s any denying that his rotations were questionable at best.
Missed this one when you posted it but yeah. I’ve been thinking about this a lot. I always felt like we didn’t do enough to develop our young guys but it does feel like we end up getting the worst version of a lot of guys. Just waiting for Baze to go and light it up for someone next year.
interesting pickup. must be trying to recreate the vince carter veteran presence? because wes really hasn't been useful in years, tbh. one could argue all the way back to his achilles tear--he's basically played at third string level almost the entire time since then.
