I remember it still being out of left field though too. I mean holy cow they picked maybe a late-first, early-second round talent with the #1 pick... What the eff were they thinking? Was it a mistake? Did they turn in the wrong name on accident? They also had our first rounder at #19, did they mean to take him there and accidentally called the wrong name in?
yeah it still baffles me. i mean, the '13 draft is looking to be one of the weakest in recent memory but they could've at least ended up with someone like oladipo or noel. even giannis and gobert were taken in the mid-late 1st round
wow. i'd read it was possible, but thought it pretty unlikely. i'm guessing they think there's another pg they can pick up, because beverly and terry can't hold the position down themselves. harden can only play so many minutes; he already leads the league or close.
how the might have fallen feels just like yesterday this guy would be murdering the lakers every time they played denver
Michael Beasley Close To Deal With Rockets Michael Beasley averaged 31.9 points, 13.2 rebounds and 3.8 assists in 36.5 minutes per game this season with Shandong.
Beasley to Houston reeks of desperation. if he beats out motiejunas or jones for minutes, I'm not sure if that's a positive or negative for them.
Huge negative I think. They've been trying to shop Jones for a long time and they actually traded Montejunas for a 1st. If those two are beat out by a guy who was kicked out of the NBA, then what value do those guys actually have?
going all-in on the offense only idea, though. they might win more games that way, but still won't be a threat.
I'd say it's a no risk- high reward scenario but Beasley has had trouble basically anywhere he's been. Then again that locker room is so effed up maybe it doesn't matter.
Howard, Harden, Smith...now with Beasley. That is Central Casting for a wacky locker room. However, I'd love to see them dance against the Clippers in the playoffs.
Ty Lawson signing with the Pacers. Good fit I think if he can get his head back in the game. He's more of a PG than George Hill that's for sure.
So Andre Miller AND Kevin Martin to the Spurs? Those are some solid additions, that would have been a decent offseason for us this year and they do it off waived guys.
