In this stage of his career, Chandler seems like the kind of guy who fits the way Luke currently makes substitutions. He's not getting 30 mins a night, but if Chandler's on a good one, I can see him closing games. McGee deserves more rest for the long run too.

I was slightly concerned that he played less than 50 games the past few years. I assumed his body couldn’t keep up with a full season.

But last night on NBA TV they pointed out that actually Phoenix just shut down all their veterans the past few years to tank. Chandler has actually been healthy, and as a result he probably has a little less wear and tear on his body then you might think.

Covers a glaring back-up need at the 5. Ancient but likely will be a positive in limited minutes maybe even more if McGee ends up with foul trouble. Wagner can spell some time at the 4.

    Good short term fix...

I don't actually think 36 is ancient for a big guy, but maybe I'm crazy. Especially at backup 5. Chandler's in good shape. He should be fine.

He is in excellent shape, just like McGee. He did not play much for two reasons: phoenix was resting him a lot and when he played, he played over 20mpg if I am correct. That won’t happen here. Chandler and McGee are perfectly synergistic. 15 quality minutes where he finishes around the rim (we have much better playmakers than the Suns) and goes hard on D. Fouls should never be an issue.

True...since 5's aren't the position needed to fly up and down the floor. Chandler won't be asked to do too much and isn't the type who'd do so. Good rim protector, smart instincts...scoring off put backs and lobs is gravy. No locker room lawyer too.

Rondo, Stephenson, Kuzma, Wagner and Chandler isn't bad. Good mix on paper of scoring and defense.

Slotting Hart as a starter, Pope to Nebula with Zubac and Svi for mop up duty outcome either way.

We needed him 2 weeks ago lol. Buyout was made official today I believe so sometime Tuesday he should clear waivers and we can sign him outright. I read it’s unlikely but gotta hope no other team tries to claim him within that time.

I think with Tyson playing behind McGee we should move Hart back to the starting lineup and kuzma back to the bench as our super 6th man playing pf not center.

    Lonzo/Hart/Ingram/LeBron/McGee

    Second unit:

    Rondo/KCP/Lance/Kuzma/Chandler

I'm actually in favor of this because that 2nd unit, at least last night, has trouble scoring. I know they did fine @POR, but if Rondo isn't orchestrating the offense, we're in trouble with that lineup.
