With Lopez and Bogut not available Saturday he and Zu should get a lot of minutes. Wonder how he does with being a big guy in a small ball speed lineup? Great stroke, potentially good shooter, strong, long and has been seen "flying around" all camp by coach Luke. Looks like he came in great shape as well.
Big ups to Mr. Bryant...hard to carry that name around in a Lakers uni and not have some eyes rolling at you haha. The kid can shoot and was super active on defense and brought alot of enthusiasm and cheer-leading on big plays. Props to Jesse Buss, Ryan West and our scouting dept....so interested to see how Hart looks now.
Yeah, credit to him for saving us from having to watch Nance play anymore Center, where he was getting destroyed. Bryant is raw, but he’s all hustle and he looks a little more polished since summer league. I don’t expect much from him, but I love the effort he gives on defense and his willingness to do the dirty work on the offensive end that some others can’t be bothered with.
They just keep sending him back and forth so he has a chance to practice with both teams. I don't think there's a rule against it.
He seems to be too good for that league... on the other hand, he gets plenty of minutes there, so that's great.
Shouldn’t he get PT with Nance out? I know he plays Center, but in an active lineup that would be smallball with Nance at Center, Thomas could fill that role.
We've got a glut of bigs. Guys are going to lose out and he's definitely last on the totem pole. He's still very young though and shows promise. I'm hoping eventually he's a more fluid athlete around the rim. Even if he isn't, he can be a 3rd stringer in this league.
Bryant is better suited to succeed long term than Zubac. He is more athletic and has the edge in terms of motor and shooting. He needs to work hard though.
Thomas' skill set fits in today's game a lot more than Zubac, if we can see growth in his game I think Zubac get's dealt (unfortunately). Dude my be a better cheerleader than Sacre.
