Is it just me, or is he the spitting image of Michael Clarke Duncan !? Seems like a good kid though!

    Haha, good comparison.

There can only be one Michael Clarke Duncan, miss that guy and his infectious smile.

    This deserves a bump!!

Looks great in his first SL game. And he's Michael Clark Duncan's son!

Fantastic first game for Bryant. I thought he was by far the standout of the rookies this game.

He was everywhere and effected everything from offence to defense. His activity and hustle was really noticeable.

Kid has great energy, a good stroke, and a soft touch around the rim.

    Nice second round pickup.

I felt really positive about Thomas Bryant's debut today. He has a motor that reminds me of Jordan Hill. Hopefully he can provide the same energy El Waka Flaka did before someone told him his mid-range jump shot was the second coming and the 12 disciples all in one. This guy looks to have more shooting tools in the shed and more size to boot.

He certainly has a rawness to his game like he is growing into his physicality, like a baby giraffe. To be honest though, he reminded me of somebody with that size, strength and enthusiasm. I will be darned if he isn't Scooby Doo. I do see the Michael Clark Mamba comparisons too now they have been pointed out.

    Thomas Bryant "The Scooby Mamba."

Bryant is the perfect small ball 5 if he ever reaches talent to actually have that role. He can play 4/5 IMO, so yes developing him and Zu are doable.

Zu needs to develop further in the post to get any minutes.

Why not both with Black and Robinson gone?

Interesting, I wasn't thinking of roster space. If you had to choose one, who would you give minutes to?

I have no answer, just want to see what everyone thinks.

Not getting carried away with 1 summer league game. But it's exciting to see if T-Bryant is competent shooting and protecting the rim, which I consider contribute-now type skills. On the other hand, I think Zu's Gasol-inspired game has more potential, though it would take longer to develop. Just a couple of observations.

whoever plays credible defense. zu's had a year to learn speed and structure of the nba, so i'm guessing he'll be ahead in that department. i think last night's game is the worst i've ever seen zu look, so i think it was just a blip.

bryant really plays with passion, which is great. i didn't see a lot of savvy from him out there, so i think he may take a bit to develop. that and he still moves a bit like a puppy.

Like last year with Zu, his effort was contagious. If Zu and T Bryant continue to play with their same level of effort they had last night, I could see Bryant taking his minutes.

Only one game though but I liked what I saw from T Bryant.

BUMP. Just because! Was 12 or so lines too low this page.

Someone mentioned seeing some Draymond Green in Kuzma. Aside from no pushing the ball talent yet or maybe ever ..... but seeing him play with that motor and fire last night I had similar thoughts about Bryant. And kid does have sweet stroke. Moves feet well on D in the key and Dude is Big for a small ball (quote unquote) change up in our rotation after Lopez. Watch out Zu. Get yo s*** together Son.

I really liked Bryant's shot from what I saw yesterday. It's smooth, it's deliberate. Most bigs look far more mechanical than Bryant when they shoot. It's hard to think of a rookie center who had nice form coming into camp, let alone from a late rounder.
