So long Tarik. Was a solid player and good locker room guy.

Maybe Rockets bring him back if they aren't able to re-sign Nene.

Sad to hear. Seemed like a good guy and a great teammate, and I thought he would provide good depth behind Lopez and Zubac. Good luck Tarik!

Wonder why we did it? Does waiving him free up any more cap room this year or next year? Or is the cap hit the same and we essentially just wanted to free up a roster spot?

Went undrafted and we picked him up after Rockets waived him. Was a professional throughout having to deal with being in BS doghouse. Constant energy and hustle off the bench will be missed, best of luck Boom Boom.

His 6ish million was due to be guaranteed on the 4th. By waiving him now they clear that off the salary cap. We're now at about 17 million in room. Not to mention we've got a ton of bigs now: Lopez, Zubac, Randle, Nance, Kuzma, Bryant................ Deng...

Always played hard. Not sure why we don't have room for a player like that.

Constant professional both on and off the court that will be a success wherever and whatever he ends up doing. He'll be missed in the locker room and his hustle was invaluable.

Thank you Tarik! Wish you nothing but the very best.

Yeah, this is why. We saw what Tarik had and I don't think it ultimately fit, as much as I liked the guy. We have 3 centers now, so he's out as small ball center backup, and we have at least 3 PF's, he was odd man out. I kind of expected this. I think he'll sign elsewhere pretty quick though, he's a solid backup.

Tarik couldn't shoot the 3 ball. Seems to be a necessity to staying. Guess they figure Bryant will fill that position now when they can get him up to speed. Doesn't that also give us 2 slots now? I remember reading just yesterday or the day before we already had 10 on the roster plus the 4 rookies. Don't know if the 10 included him yet without his option picked up.

Speaks well for Nwaba though that they picked him up. Less money for his contract but also his athleticism and defense and maybe he's just looking better now to with his workouts?

Class act. Gotta be a crushing time for him with the 6 million gone poof just like that, newly married and expecting a child plus loving playing here ..... and yet he so quickly wrote something so positive and put that great picture with it. Damn! Good luck Tarik. Hope he catches on quickly.

Have to imagine he was smart with his finances. He'll find another team no doubt that will be excited to bring him on.

I understand the reasoning behind Tarik being waived but it's still kind of sad. Thanks for all the hustle and hard work. Wish you the best.

Well someone's going to have to be able to effectively play small center as well as Tarik or better. I doubt Bryant will be up to that speed initially, though he can hopefully translate the 3 to the NBA. Randle?? And I asked above is T. Rob already gone?
