I think Kuzma has a higher ceiling he just inconsistent, AC is a high lvl role player but im not oppose to 12M if they give it to him, I just think his value is in the 8M lvl

2nd by a whisker defensive guard in the league and highly ranked overall plus shooting a consistent 41% from deep this year. That's pretty elite 3 and D. I'm guessing the Lakers will offer at least 12M. As @abeer3 has mentioned maybe Dallas offers him considerably more to put him in the back court with Luka. Guess we'll find out this summer. For sure Vogel loves the hell out of him and LeBron too so he has a lot of goodwill built up here. Jeanie will trust everyone's input.

His inability to shoot the ball is an alarming issue. There's only so many times you can attack the basket and score a nice layup before your game becomes severely limited in the playoffs. THT needs to work on his shot if he wants some serious money.

teams should offer AC more than the MLE (and more than THT) because he's a proven commodity that can be part of a winning rotation. i think he's going to get at least one offer bigger than what people are thinking. and that's all it takes.

i'm actually less worried about teams poaching THT. that's a lot of cash to gamble on limited court time. if you're the charlotte hornets or some such and invest like that, it could doom you for a while.

i actually wonder if some team is going to try to do us like pat riley did the clippers years ago, when they had odom and brand as FAs, and he bid up brand so high that he could come in and get odom. we have three guards as UFAs--if someone wants one of them, they may pursue another first...

You can tell he doesn’t trust his shot/3. Limited minutes, but some young mistakes.

he has all the moves and loves driving to the basket. I still believe in THT and hope he doesn’t go anywhere.

defense, mental lapses, turnovers, and 3 pointer are the things he needs to improve upon IMO.

When he is in, they run zones schemes. They leave him open for obvious reasons. He is young and cN hopefully improve on his J.

Teams did the same with Wade, and with Westbrook.

oh, he may still become a very good player; i just don't see a reason to play him right now. he doesn't defend as well as most of our guards, and they don't respect his shot, which gums up the offense.

maybe having to sit because of those things will get him focused on improving those things.

I just think slow centers like Drummond and Gasol have a really hard time playing D against teams that can play 4 or even 5 shooters at the same time w/o compromising their defense.

This is where I would use THT differently is that there are definite times the Lakers needs another ball handler PnR guy. When Lebron and DS are sitting, THT should be in there. if they want to zone hedge let them as that will be a way to get AD's mid range going with just some simple action to get him into the paint.

gasol better be in there with him, then.

not sure why DS and lebron aren't split more, too. AD needs to be out there with a playmaking guard (when lebron's sitting). when he's not, things just don't work. especially if there's someone like drummond or trez in there, too.

Honestly though, if you're the Hornets, it's really your only shot at relevance. If you want any hope in contending in Charlotte, you have to nail a couple draft picks (looks like they may have got one with Ball) and poach a player that blossoms into something better than anyone thought they would. I feel like Charlotte could be a nice little market. They love basketball in North Carolina, and Charlotte seems to be a pretty nice place to live (I've been there a couple times and seems nice with good people).

charlotte is ok; i live about an hour from there. has most things big cities have, though less diverse/interesting than my favorites. it's like a smaller dallas or atlanta. i just picked it because i routinely forget they have a basketball team despite this fact.

it's an interesting question--if you're a non-destination market, should you swing for the fences or try to hit a few doubles. i'd opt for the latter. lot of times the real superstars will walk on those markets anyway (after you've spent years waiting for them to develop).

I think they're going to have to give THT a shot in game 5 with no AD.
Phoenix is a well coached team that will play off of him but with no AD they're going to need another guy who can create his own shot. The 4 out lineups will work with Lebron in there but they're going to need another creator to plair with Lebron or DS when either of them sit

Yeah put him on the floor when Kaminsky is playing... but Suns likely will let him shoot ( and probably brick) wide open 3s

i don't see how THT is playable in this series, tbh. but down kcp and AD, i suppose we can try lots of stuff.

Him and Marc will work very well. I want THT to get some burn with KCP out

Props to my pet cat THT. It was all super ugly, but he was out there hustling and trying to turn it around.

16 minutes: Double / double, 11 rebounds (Kuz and KCP had one each), 1 of 2 threes, 4-9 overall.

Actually he was really good. Getting to the basket and making some of those trick shots he does. Don’t know that he’d be able to do that against the starters but at least he played with heart.
