Nothing worse than a shooter who can't shoot.

had all the opportunity. Maybe next time drive in first and try to get a feel for the game before throwing up bricks.

I’m not ready to go that far, he just looks to me like a rookie in a little over his head. He should be down in the G-League with Bonga getting as much playing time as possible. I don’t think anyone as skilled as him forgets how to shoot, he might just need time. At worst maybe he’s a throw in piece in a big trade though.

Ya he sucks right now. IMO Luke should have sent him down to the G-League.

The guy barely plays competitive basketball and then comes in and is expected to knock down 3s immidiately. Not saying thats not his job description (it is) but he needs get his feet wet, keep a cool head and get some burn before he can deliver that.

Right now he has no business to be on the court.

Unfortunately I think he should be in the G league too. His confidence just isn’t there right now and he’s tossing up bricks.

He’s had opportunities but can’t capitalize. I’m not ready to give up yet but he hasn’t played well at all

Wow this is a harsh audience for another 21 year old kid that gets tossed in for 3-5 minutes every few games. He’s played like 100 minutes in his entire career.

Agree about him getting some GLeague run but maybe he gets his chance now with BI and Rondo out.

There is a human element that a lot of fans here right now seem to throw out the window for a lot of our young guys. Are you saying that you can't even comprehend a 21 year old kid getting too hyped and struggling in his first 20 games in the NBA?

I'm really getting tired of arguing about these kids in their early 20s being human beings and having mental ups and downs, which in turn affects their performance. It's already established that all star players needed time to adjust to playing with Lebron. You won't excuse a 21 year old maybe being overanxious under the bright lights in the infancy of his career? This idea that "they are who they are" is silly. If he shoots like this and doesn't show improvement next year, then we can talk, but Svi is a bonus on this roster and we shouldn't be expecting him to be a key cog in his rookie season.

I like Svi and I'm rooting for him all the way. I think he brings more to the table than just shooting. But man, a shooter has to make shots and he better get his act together in that department.

On the plus side, I like his unselfishness and willingness as a passer. He can drive too. And he gives a ton of effort on D. I think the shooting will come around as he's good at it. I agree that he needs more PT in the G League.

The culture has been built and a player like Svi isn't taking it lightly or for granted

    Love it!

its wrong to expect players to hit WIDE open shots? I dont care if he's a key cog or not, if you're on the court I expect you to be a positive contributor, aint nobody expecting him to be carrying the offensive load, his job is to hit OPEN shots, the team gets him open shots and all he's been doing is clanking them, ft's too

I don’t think the talk is harsh today. Just kinda stating the obvious.

He’s struggling. A stint in the G league could really help him. Let him gain some confidence and work through his struggles with less pressure

I blame Luke. Plenty of games where Svi could've got 3 minutes here and there instead of being thrown in there due to injury.

Having said that, he's a professional and his main job is to hit open shots. If he can't do that, why is he here ?

I think he's too good to not start hitting them. Hopefully sooner than later.

Svi dominated in the Summer League. Just like Zo, Kuz, and Hart. It will translate to the NBA. His stroke is textbook. I’m not worried at all about him.

No love for Svi after all the Sasha references for burying his first two 3s?

Some folks only want to talk about the negative. Quick to talk about that.

He was confident from 3 as he should be putting in that extra work.

I thought he got a lost a few times on defense. Can't let Belinelli get wide open on his 1st 3 point shot as that got him in rhythm for the rest of the game especially in that 1st half.
