It's gotta be embarrassing for him to see "Steve Nash injures back carrying bags" on every news that does sports, right? Every station is like "oh, poor Nash, he's tryin' so hard", it makes it sound so sad, has to be embarrassing to see that, has to be.
I didn't believe it when I first read it, I thought it was some sort of cruel joke. Can't say I'm too surprised with it being real however, I just thought he would last more than one preseason game.
I didn't think nash's tenure as a laker would be impressive, but I also didn't think it would make gary payton's look like an unqualified success.
I had hoped Nash would post a couple of (LA) Payton-like seasons. Turns out he didn't even have one in him. Payton probably played more minutes in that one season than Nash will in three.
The guy is injured so often, this is a joke reason you'd use as to why he got injured, except it actually IS the reason as to why he got injured...
Did they say specifically what type of bags Nash was carrying? Man I need to puke in an airsick bag...
this is really becoming a joke it's hard not to admire how determined nash is to make a full recovery but he simply needs to realize it's not going to happen at his age. his body is already broken and at this point, he should be more concerned about his quality of life after basketball instead of further jeopardizing that by continuing to ignore the fact that he's done
C'mon Stevie. Carrying bags does it this time? I actually thought he was going to come through this season, boy was I wrong. Why can't you just make the rookies carry your stuff like normal superstars??
Was the team going on a long road trip? What the eff could he have been carrying to injure his back?? What a brittle man this guy is.
Isn't a rookie's, uuummm, responsibility to carry a veteran's bag or bags? Where was Clarkson or Randle in the midst of all of this? Chaz the bartender?
Apparently it was at his home, so unless the rookies are at his house tending to Nash's needs they couldn't have helped him. You'd think the nursing staff at the old folks' home could have helped though.
