i'm still glad to have him on board for next year. i think we can plan more purposefully to find spots where can be effective. i see no reason why he can't be a respectable 15-20mpg player on a winning team.

Like I said in Gabe's thread, both were crucial in the final 5 minutes. Big stops and big buckets. They fed off each other’s competitive energy. It was refreshing to see for a change.

Why did we go away from this? He had a world burning first Q then barely took another shot the rest of the game. Was he saving the rest of his juice to cover Harden?

He's playing with confidence here lately. If he improves his jumper over the summer, he will be an important rotation piece, potentially starter level caliber guy, next season.

Stanley is also a competent ball handler and passer. Johnson, Gabriel, Reaves and THT need to lock themselves in the gym and shoot 1000 jumpers a day. If they come back with any semblance of a reputable jump shot next season….what a dynamic supporting cast for Lebron and AD.

Yes..I was a bit surprised at his ball skills. He has some workable assets to his game offensively. Absolutely on the shooting for all those guys you mentioned. Our shooting coach needs to earn his salary this offseason. I still don't like Talen's mechanics on his jumper though. On the bright side..all these guys are young, if they are hungry enough to put in the work, I think they all can be improved on the perimeter next season.

Tough crowd as Stanley has to be rescued from a third of the way down Page 2. 21 points and 8 rebounds in 32 minutes tonight, while appearing to have the green light to continue handling the ball in aggressive and pretty skilled ways for a guy his size going to the basket. A bit like a bigger and stronger THT doing that with guys bouncing off of him. Look out of he keeps shooting OK enough and builds on those handles this summer and moves going to the rack. Great pick up.

Nice to see him get the green light and show out a bit in the home finale.

He's really enjoyable to watch. Definitely needs to work on his 3 ball some this summer. Want him to find a consistent motion and build on it. Currently he has 3 different shots on his 3 ball and there's no real rhythm or reason to them. 1) kicks his leg out. 2) wide stance leg spread. 3) the lean in. With his strength, he doesn't need to lean in on his shot.

Love the effort, D, motor, and handles, and purposeful athleticism. Really glad we have him on the roster going into next year.

Surprisingly good ball handler. Just needs to work on the outside shot ('cause 32% for 3 isn't enough, 35 would be a good start), and he'll be great for us.

LOVED what he had to say in that post-game interview. Being transparent about his disappointment in the season. No excuses. Talking about how we got what we deserved. Being mad about it and using it as motivation to get better.

I wish that was the messaging from the entire team rather than the finger pointing and excuses.

What I DIDN’T like from his post-game interview is when he said something along the lines of how he hoped he had played well enough for the team to want to bring him back.

There shouldn’t have to be “hope” for that. I get that there’s no technical reason to pick up the option before the deadline (whenever that is), but after stringing him along with the multiple 10 day contracts at his own risk under the guise of “flexibility”, come on just give the kid some peace of mind and let him know he’ll be back already. It would be asinine not to pick up the team option. Our roster will already be barebones in terms of guaranteed contracts, there’s NO way SJ’s minimum contract would impact flexibility at all.

right--what's the vet min deal that's worth dropping him for? keep in mind we have several vet min spots open ahead of having to cut anyone/decline options.
