I agree, we’ve got to find a way to keep Monk. He’s been fantastic in his role. I have a feeling he’s not going to forget that we were the ONLY team in the league by his own admission that pursued him. He’s young and he doesn’t have to chase the money yet if he loves it here and so far I can see that he does. He could take the 6 million $ MLE money then keep increasing his role and value.
Tough crowd. Were you not entertained? He’s a stud. Those hands and that strength are very Artest like and he’s fast and athletic and does a good job handling the ball at speed. So glad we have him now.
Amazing off the scrap heap you find a dude who in the right situation and right time in his career and he looks way better than i think Ariza has looked in 5+ years?
Awful game for everyone around (minus AD), so it's tough to find positives.. BUT I did think Stan did a good job as both a primary and help defender on Embiid. Surprised a bit considering Embiid's size and the tear he's been on.
Absolute crazy that this guy doesn't only look like a rotation player, he's an actual quality starter. Him and AD together are really good on defense (not enough to make for playing a midget threesome: jesus Vogel give these two a chance don't play with 3 small guys who aren't overall good defenders)
He should be starting: Ariza looks like a glacier in transition. Vogel needs to stop f***ing around and play Reaves, THT, and Stan ahead of Russ/Ariza/Bradley
ariza is so incredibly slow; it's hard to watch. dude just gets turned around on any reasonable change in direction. no more olds.
I really like how aggressive he's been these past two games offensively. Getting at the basket very easily.
A keeper among the rubbish.. Too bad Vogel plays him 25 mins yet Bradley somehow gets 35?? Fire that clown
Stanley, Monk and Reaves have been great this season. Stanley has been driving great and gives a ton of effort on the defensive end every night.
the fact that we have stan and reaves locked up for next year is like, the only light in lakers world right now.
Absolutely. Just hoping we can somehow add Monk to that mix this summer. Johnson has been really good and I’m glad he’s on that two year deal. He’s easy to root for like Reaves.
Surpisingly decent offensive player. He bricks a few open 3's but he also hits more then enough to keep the defense honest. Plus he's a threat to attack off the bounce as well
I was surprised at how well he can get into the paint and he handles it well enough not to get stripped and can get creative when it gets clogged. Out of our min guys, he's probably the best at getting to the hoop after Monk.
seemed like stan got benched for missing an open three against utah (not sure, just felt like that happened and then he didn't get back in?). if so, i don't like that message/decision. i thought he battled gobert pretty well on some possessions giving up that much size.
He seems to been lost in the shuffle lately. Not making quite the impact he was earlier in the year. I still think he is a good pickup for us.
He’s struggled on offense, and the energy level must be hard to maintain when regularly down 30, but he still does a lot of good things
