He isn't taking any accountability for how destructive his carelessness is. Half the starters were out of this game, this would have been a loss had KAT played because of his carelessness and he has already cost the Lakers half their losses. Doesn't look like he will ever change or adapt. I hope Rob has some ideas before next month comes.

Tonight was rough for Westbrook. Those turnover numbers were ridiculous. Yikes.

    not digging that response

indicates a bit too much ego, and to be a great leader, you must also be humble

that is why Lebron is such a great leader

    :Noddingyes: :ADeyeshift:

what? Don't look at me like that.

his weird insistence on everyone just denying what we're seeing is pretty disarming. nobody is asking you why you're not getting enough points. that is not the question anyone has asked you. why is that the answer to every question?

reporter: what's up with all the turnovers?

russ: look, i can't score 40 and get a triple double every night, a*******!

it's funny because it's obvious his teammates are seeing the same things we are (lebron knew his exact number of turnovers as a running total!) and are having to be polite but failing at joining in russ's outright denial of facts.

    He can miss shots, sure.

Turnovers... not so much. Has to make smarter passes.

And he needs to start showing some effort on defense, because this is not very good.

Can you imagine the smell in the close vicinities around him on the court most every game with the big farts coming out his ears, nose and mouth constantly …. from inside of his zero conscience brain? It must reek.

The turnovers are just too much. Either he gets it under control or we need to bench him during those stretches of the game.

Bingo: risk/reward ratio for his turnover's make no sense.
A turnover basically mean you lose 1 point as an NBA possession roughly averages to about one point per possession

So if you have a pass that will lead to 2 points at a very high likelihood (like Lebron finding monk for an open 3 or guy cutting for a layup) the risk/reward makes sense. What's frustrating about Russ's TO it like he just randomly throws TO that even if completed are just rotating the ball or getting the ball past half court. The pass even if completed doesn't really add any advantage

I mean let’s be real … in 2020, WE were happy to see Russ in a playoff series.

Our best defensive strategy against Houston that ended up working very well was simply to “Let Russ Be Russ”.

We need to get his ego in check. Felt like there was a stretch where he was cleaning things up and playing more within our strategy, but then recently he’s felt insecure and trying to force things too much again.

Why are his answers during his interviews basically, "it is what it is..."? No one is saying you can't miss shots or you need to handle the ball perfectly, but 9 TOs is not normal. He's always so dismissive and nonchalant in his interviews and its off putting.

Has anyone ever seen him own a f*** up on the court after a horrible play? You know .... like "my bad" body language or pointing to himself? He's so conditioned to just forget them and just move on to the next careless play ... I think that's why he interviews like he does. LeBron and Vogel need to each in their own way get into his s*** seriously about it. Don't make the damn play or pass if you're not serious about completing it and not half a**ing it.

In the end it is up to Vogel to get what he can out of him and keep him below a 5 pointer on the destructive scale. In the mean time I will listen to some Jeremy Soule to prepare myself.

i'm not as down on him as most, but i'm certainly not high on him. i'd prefer he just admit he and the team have work to do, and then...do that work.

bristling at pretty legitimate questions from the press is a bad look on top of spraying the ball all over the court on offense and half-attending on defense.
