We’re not winning with Russ, we just aren’t. His defense is god-awful. He tries to leak out for fast breaks and leaves his man before we secure the ball, he camps in the paint for rebounds and leaves his man open, or he just sags off for no reason. Offensively he gives up a huge chunk of what he gets you with awful passes or just losing the ball from going to fast and playing out of control. Unless changes are made to the rest of the roster we will struggle to make any noise in the playoffs, if we even make it there.

Can we dump his dumb arse somehow? He is taking shots and minutes from Austin and I am not kidding, not even a little.

LeBron must be kicking himself right now.

He had one of the most hilarious/bad final minutes I've seen. that play, losing the ball haphazardly and pulling up to shoot a 3 (not as bad as the other two. to be fair, Vogel should've drawn up a real play to get Melo the ball).

Problem that I see is that he plays still as if it's 2013, where he wishes to blow by and physically dominate every player he comes against. Unfortunately, that isn't happening anymore and his other basketball skills haven't really developed. It's as if Lebron tried to play as if he was 19 again.

West-choke.... I rather have the ball in Reaves hand than butter fingers, who plays out of control in crunch time.

Complete meltdown down the stretch. Turnover. Terrible D. Bricked 3.

LeBron will definitely have to be the guy with the ball in his hands down the stretch.

I know I’m in the minority here. But other than the first few games, I’ve been pretty content with how Russ has played so far this entire season.

Maybe I just have lower expectations. I guess I’m expecting to see a few wild turnovers or bad three point attempts. If that’s the price we pay for him otherwise being an engine for our offense that offers a legitimate big 3 threat when we’re healthy, we’ll that’s what I thought we signed up for ever since pulling the trigger on the trade.

I think his negatives have been louder than they really are. I’m not going to put this loss on his last minute turnover or the missed game tying three point attempt. We shouldn’t have been in that position to begin with, and I don’t think he’s necessarily the one to blame for us being in that spot.

If everyone is to be held accountable on defense the film room tomorrow should find him being taken to task in front of the whole team for that brain shart. Way worse than fart. The staff has to start getting in his s*** about his leaving his man open to pursue other agendas and half a**ing or not even attempting close outs.

Hopefully he'll get injured before the playoffs ( if we make it ) and everyone else will be healthy

He's +/- and overall stats were pretty good (AD had a monster game but finished with -14). But it is true that he's one of the players that makes the most empty stats. I heavily criticized Drumm for that so I can only be consistent.

Will watch the game to see if we lost because of him or despite him

oh to be clear, I don’t put the loss on him. I stated in another thread we lose by double digits without him and stand by that. He made multiple bad plays trying to make something happen at the end but I put this one on the staff much more than any player.

lol, dame, beal, trae and luka are off to their career-worst starts from deep, i think. which is saying something for luka, who did the same thing last year, for whatever reason.

didn't i read that like almost all of russ's three point shots are wide open? we need to just do what houston did and play him in the dunker spot on offense.
