47mil/year Russ, makes zero sense for any team in the league. Min. contract Russ,
on a team with no PG's, that can be cut at any moment, makes some sense for the Tennants.

While it was wild, wooly and defense-less, Clips are 0-1 in the Brick era. 17/5/14 with 7 TOs in 39 mins, fouled out, Clips lose by 1, 175-174 in 2 OT.

    A 349 point game!

I'm not sure he was the reason they lost, though. Let's see just how bad he can get w/them. I suspect: "very."

When was the last time a guy came off the bench to drop 45 like Monk did tonight? 2nd highest scoring game in NBA history.

Hey Tenants: D wins championships. You heard it here first.

Why didn't they foul up 3? So stupid. It's like the NFL took decades to figure out maybe it's better to try to get 7 points then 3 if you have fourth and ones

As long as Russ is having fun over there. That’s all that matters.

I only watched the first half. Was depressing they have so much talent and Russ was playing well not doing too much and just dishing out assists. Seemed like a good fit.

But LOL priceless …. there was the Russ we came to count on with 7 TOs total and (at the end of regulation) not having a clue where his man was off ball and Monk sinks the shot. Costing the team two overtimes and a loss in his very first game. Hey Ty, be sure and point that out in the film session …. always well received by him. Same as will be when you start pulling him from the closing rotation.

Equally intriguing I’m getting the impression reading further on the one Clippers site that they already have over the years come to feel about Paul George in “crunch time” the same way we did about Russ. TOs at the worst times (and a choker on top of that). LOL maybe why he lobbied so hard to bring him in, to take some of that pressure off. Perfect!

Clips already seemed to have learned their lesson and dropped him out of the finishing lineup.

Come on man he had 17 points on 10 shots, he's part of the new big 3! Don't look at the +/- whatever you do just ignore that one.

Oh man, the Clippers are already stealing Russ’ joy. Let Russ be Russ Clippers, what happened, he’s clutch, he’s a closer, why are you sitting him when it’s winning time? Russ Stans beside themselves, Ty Lue is a fraud, didn’t let Russ cook.

Guess Lue wasn’t buying that Monk was Powell’s responsibility at the end of regulation Friday night according a certain someone HERE. Took ole Ty all of one game to figure out he can’t be trusted in crunch time because of the air between his ears. Hilarious!!

After the Lakers traded away Westbrook in 2023, it might be a little weird that he lives so close to LeBron James in the famous Brentwood neighborhood. In fact, the two NBA stars live across from one another.

With Clips down 5, Brick bricked a dumb shot with 1:12 left in the game, contributed mightily to the Clips' 3rd straight loss. They are 0-3 in the Brick Era and are now fighting to keep out of the play-in situation. (From Andrew Greif's write-up at the LA Times)

Russ went 14/7/10 with 4 TOs and his usual bad D.

“We definitely do feel that we have the deepest team,” backup guard Eric Gordon said, “but … the chemistry has to be there.”

    Hmm. "Chemistry."

Eric Gordon had more to say after the loss to MIN:
“It’s just not young guys, you got veterans that have proven themselves throughout their career,” Gordon said. “I think now it seems like it’s just we need to do things where we can be a better team; maybe it’s fitting in defensively, maybe it’s certain pinpoints on not just how good of a player he is — how can they really fit in that can make us win games?”

"Fit in." Kinda sets ya to wonderin', don't it? I mean, Gordon's a new "veteran" to that team. He can't be talking about PG13 or Kawhi. Maybe Marcus Morris? "Veterans who have proven themselves throughout their career." I wonder who Eric Gordon could possibly be talking about? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

Color me astonished that the Clip coaching staff had every opportunity to dissect Russ's impact on the Lakers, then they acquire him and START him. Now they're all about "finding the right chemistry" and which guys "fit in" so they can "win games."

    LOL!

Russ’s bricks, mental errors and bad defense are not his fault …. duh! LeBron is hurt and so, again, he and AD are not playing together. Russ’s get out of jail free pass. :D You know …. that cosmic symbiosis Russ requires of them playing together at all points in time no matter anything else …. for him not to suck and find ways at worst times to do it.
