I like Conley, Clarkson and Bogdanovic from Utah. I'm also ok with Beasley. On NY I like Reddish, Fournier and Rose. Some combo of three of these players back for Russ and the picks works for me.

D Wade was another 2 playing PG. Lebron was the true PG in Miami. Mike Conley is still just another small 2 playing the point. I wouldn't waste the only resource we have left on a trade involving him and giving up picks. He's not that valuable IMO. We are fine at PG as is..if I moved Russ it's for size or a Kyrie. We don't really need anymore little dudes that " compliment" Lebron IMO.

That would be a nice haul. Adds legit size and scoring to the team.

Sticking to Clarkson, Bogdonavic and Reddish, adding Jared Vanderbilt and Rudy Gay makes the salaries match up perfectly. Hell... I might go for a lotto protected 29 pick too. That's all your shooting, size, depth, and some youth. Slam dunk for Rob.

Mike Conley is as much a combo guard as Joel Embiid is a Small Forward. Just because he doesn't put up eye popping assist numbers does not equate to him being a combo guard. Watching one single game of him with the Jazz or Grizzlies shows you that much.

Maybe we don't see games the same way but he is not a high end PG period. A combo guard to me is a guy that can score a little, dish a little and grab a board or two. That's what he does and did In Memphis and Utah. The guy has been in the League for 14 seasons, his teams have made it out of the 1st rd 3 times. He's been to the Conference Finals once, they got swept..

    He's OK.

he's way better than russ, makes less money, and isn't a headache.

How I see a "combo guard" if you want to keep in Jazz related...

What is your definition of high end PG and do you consider Russ to be in that category?

A guy that can get you double digit assists regularly. That's high end..there aren't many of them in the game. Yes Russ is still of that ilk..it's actually the main strength of his game. And yes...I do believe that Westbrook is the superior talent, even with his struggles last season. I think Russ bounces back like a MUG this season.

Ok..I already said that I'd take Jordan over Conley all day. He makes half the salary to boot.

NOPE...he absolutely is not. You think Westbrook is some trash or something, I categorically reject that opinion. To each his own. We will see what's what this season.

I'd much rather spend my biggest asset ( if I traded him,) on something much better than a Mike Conley centered trade. We already have an aging 34 year old 6'1 guard on the slight decline that we just picked up from Utah. We don't need another one. Making twice his salary no less!!

Lol..any Conley deal is worse than a Hield/Turner one. However, I'm not all about star chasing. Clarkson, Bogdonavic, and Reddish. I like that better too. Throw in a Vanderbilt or Rudy Gay and let's run with it!!

Conley was awful last year: he's cooked. He maybe needed to match salaries but at best he's a backup PG in the league now

We’re talking about Mike Conley right? Cause he most definitely was not awful last season.
