Russell Westbrick Discussion: Clipper Gonna Clip

In my thinking, which I admit is usually based from a coaching point of view, not giving proper effort and not accepting reality are attitude issues. Those are things that only Russ can change and drastically impact the entire team. Those two things show me that he had an issue with Frank. Justified or not I have no way of knowing what went on behind the scenes. I still believe Russ resented that he was asked to change his game and Lebron kept playing like Lebron. AD didn't know what the heck to do and was injured most of the time anyway. Russ could see even better than all of us that Lebron was going after points before wins. Again in my mind, Russ and Lebron both had attitude issues that self-destructed our season. With our injuries we were likely doomed from any championship aspirations but we did not have to be the worst Laker team ever and be an embarrassment to basketball. I think Lebron realizes this and will come out for redemption. I am not sure Russ is self-aware enough to realize this.

nothing new here, but i wonder what the timing is about.

 

Slow day on the new NBA news front. Anything about Westbrook and the Lakers is still good for some site traffic for a couple of days.

The Charlotte trade idea will resurface by Friday. Followed with a Kyrie "update" next week. Unless something else actually happens elsewhere.

Seems Russ is angling for a trade and a buyout. Wouldn’t it be hilarious if he signs with a contender for the minimum and puts them over the top. The exact thing he couldn’t do for us.
