do we know that his agent's public statement is accurate? could be pr spin from his side--he knows these are opinions people hold of russ and would be sympathetic to his stance.

but yes, if you take it at face value, it feels like more of the same from russ.

but my point is that IF someone wanted him, wouldn't that have been communicated to him via some means (agent, players, friends, whatever) by now?

anyway, if he's as delusional as all this, i really could see him playing in china by next year.

Meh..gotta keep it real on something that conviently keeps getting glossed over around here about Westbrook .

Bradley, Jordan, Howard, Ariza, Bazemore, Ellington, Augustin, and Melo. Only one has been picked up by any team in the NBA. What the hell does anyone STILL see in Jordan? IDK...but Nunn missed the entire season, James and Davis played in 21 games together out of 82. We were reduced to counting on an undrafted rookie, and two kids that had bounced around the league in Reaves, Johnson and Gabriel. To inject some semblance of life and energy into our team. That roster was complete, utter hot a** garbage.

Nope..Russ was not at his best to say the least last season . However he is a facilitator first, not a shooter or scorer. He did play in 80 games and averaged 18 pts, 7 assists and 7 rebs, while playing with a roster on most nights, that was worse than what the Washington Wizards had in the previous season.

Dude might not be 30-40 million per worth anymore, but he’s damn sure still better than, almost out the League, China level caliber too. Now that might apply to the other players I listed.

I don't blame Westbrook for being in his feelings at all. Lebron and AD recruited him. Prompting him to ask out of Washington, after they declined that trade twice. Then they show up 21 times to play with him all season, and yet HE gets all the blame, for not carrying that hot a** garbage roster?

SMH...whatever. I'd still trade him immediately for Kyrie and Curry though! Other than that..hell.. run it back with a healthy Bron, AD, Nunn, and a roster full of youth and better athleticism . We can make a trade later if it doesn't work out.

Keeping it real none of that excuses his level of play both sides of the ball and zero accountability sh***y attitude. Do you seriously expect with his need to have a team build around letting “Russ be Russ” for him to be happy and most effective that any team is going to take a flyer on that, and even offer non taxpayer MLE next year for 2 years? He’ll be lucky to see TP MLE if even that …. assuming he has some kind of improvement wherever he plays this season over last season’s garbage.

We can’t say for sure the agents statement is accurate but I certainly can’t recall a statement like this from an agent on his way out the door.

I said what I said..that roster was hot a** garbage period. If he played lights out, he wasn't saving us from that BS. I dunno what he'll get moving forward, as far as a contract. Yeah. I do absolutely expect him to play better with better players around him though. Here or any where else, FWIW, THIS roster is built better around Westbrook IMO, than that atrocious collection of old, tired, semi washed bones, that we had last season. Westbrook should have averaged at least 10-11 assists. Rewatching these games from last season, the amount of times that guy hit folks in the pocket in scoring position without a bucket was ridiculous. That roster sucked bro. I'm not excusing him from blowing layups and missing FT. The other stuff ...everybody quit on Vogel it seemed to me. Except for Bradley, Monk, Reaves, Johnson and Gabriel. Lol..that's why they played.

my god this take is tired.

bazemore sucked a**, too. had he been better, would we have won a title? no. but he sucked and now he's basketball dead. russ is heading for the same pasture, but makes literally 40X the salary and cost us half a contending roster in the process. boo.

My God.. The Westbrook is washed stuff is tired as hell too. That roster was last season was full out garbage.

Our " contending roster" wasn't worth a crap the previous season either, without Lebron and AD. They " contended" their way to the playin game and out in the 1st round. Yippee.

Just because you keep trotting that narrative out doesn't make it true.

We’ll see how washed the NBA feels he is from star production by how much his next contract is. Any kind of “star” production left in him with a good attitude should get him close to 20M for couple seasons. If it’s TP MLE or less what’s that going to say? Irregardless of whatever LeBron and AD or any of this better roster do. Whether he’s here or mercifully gone.

I think KD stays in Brooklyn.

And if KD is staying in BK, Kyrie is, too.

And outside of attempting to get any value out of a WB deal, he just may end up coming back.

Hope not, but I just don't see a scenario where a team doesn't want to fleece us knowing we have no leverage right now.

It just really puts the ceiling on the tea because even with great health we're probably a second round exit at the very best.

When James and Davis are healthy, they are undefeated in a playoff series. I don't know how many chips you guys think we would have won with Magic and Kareem playing in 27 and 21 games for two straight seasons. Or Shaq and Kobe or Kobe and Pau. Somehow though you have figured out that it's irrelevant with James and Davis. BS.

Why do you keep harping on this? It’s obvious and evident, not something you’re the only person seeing. It doesn’t excuse Russ’s attitude and his play this season.

We were 11-10 with the 3 together. I don't understand your argument

One of the big points that Lakers including AD and Lebron were getting Westbrook was that he would be able to carry the load so that they could time to recover. They saw the injuries after the bubble and despite obvious issues with fit thought they had a "star" who could keep the team afloat. Instead of doing that, the Lakers were worse with Westbrook.

In other words, Lakers aren't winning a title or getting a top seed with Lebron and AD hurt but guess what Westbrook was still bad. He was bad regardless of who was around him

Maybe you’re confused from arguing the same point over and over again but I don’t think one here disagrees that we can’t win without a healthy Lebron and AD.

The main argument is that Westbrook is trash. He didn’t have to be the triple double getter he was a couple years ago but he had to be a lot better than what we saw last season. If he played better we wouldn’t be having endless discussions about trading him.

And lets not even start on his attitude and lack of accountability. That alone could be reason to trade him.

The first part is relevant, the rest is your opinion. Everybody is entitled to one. It doesn't diminish one bit the first part tho. If he played better the team was still poor to mediocre, just like the previous one.

LOL..WTF does 11-10 mean in an 82 game season? Seriously was that in the first 21 games? They played 5 games straight together all season.

Lol..still a variation of the same nonsense you keep trying to slid in. 21 games is still 21 games even in Disneyland.
