Perhaps...I'm really of the mind that we get waxed anyway. However the horse is almost dead. Barring a miracle this one is another bummer of a season. 5 out of the last 7. James signing was a positive even though that season was mediocre too.

You are right that if James and Davis are out we get waxed either way. There is no denying that the team around them is significantly worse however. Our record with them both active, with 1 active, with none active have dropped significantly from the past two seasons. The Russ trade was the big shake up, so it's expected that he will get the brunt of the criticism. He has been playing his best ball all season during the past 6 games though.

A little too late..We came out of training camp out of sorts in general. Everything snowballed from there. I can live with Lebron's situation, the guy is 37 years old with a lot of miles on him. AD...IDK what to say...I pray that this was just a bad luck season. If Russ is here next season, I'm rooting for him. If he's gone, I wish him the best, on to the next man up.

My god! You quote ME telling you I’m ONLY talking about the way and “manner” in which you defend Westbrook’s IMO “indefensible” parts to his game …. NOT SCAPEGOATING him for the the failure of the season with James’s and Davis’s injuries assuring that all on their own … and you go right back to it like you can’t read?

Lol..SMH..this campaign is about over brother, I hate to admit that. I'm sure we will be lacing up the gloves for multiple rounds next season. Maybe this offseason too. However ..I'm on ceasefire with you for the moment..well unless we win a playin game. Then we can resume hostilities..

The scoring has been there for this team, the atrocious defense has been one of the biggest reasons why we're 31-45. Yuck.

Yeah, great for him making his season stats look less atrocious. I still can’t wait for the day he’s gone.

i love that being the fourth consecutive coach to lose when russ puts up stats makes vogel the problem.

the issue is that teams geared to optimize westbrook suck. that wasn't true at the height of his athletic prime, and he (and his fans) can't let go of it. his failure to age gracefully and adjust his game accordingly has now tanked several teams in a row.

i'd be pissed if the lakers hired a "better coach" who could bring the out the best in westbrook in this manner.

I'm actually all for Russ pumping up his stats. Might help us convince someone to take him off our hands. He's got a solid fanbase. If you can sell him putting up good numbers and putting butts in seats, then maybe a team like the Magic bites.

I'm honestly wondering if he even can adjust his game you know.

right. his pouting and stat talk to the press indicates he only plays one way.

i wish. but if you're orlando and you have cole anthony and suggs, doesn't westbrook just really get in the way of their growth. again, he HAS to have the ball or he'll pout. plus, nobody guards him if he doesn't. so that means your two young guards have 30mpg with fewer reps after already having to share among themselves.

i just don't know. and again, really mad the knicks are wise to his uselessness, as that's my best target in terms of a team that might like to trade on his name for a year and get out from under a couple contracts.

He can't. He can get numbers though, which may fool someone into wanting that expiring contract... who knows. It's better that his box score looks good right now in any case, it can only be a positive.

Yeah, its a tough sell. I don't know why anyone would do it from a pure hoops standpoint. We gotta hope between the front office and his team they can find someone willing to take a one year flyer on him.
