Who’s our backup big on Embiid tonight when Dwight’s out? Guess Johnson and Melo take the lumps?

He has pretty much found the backboard on most of them, I'll give him that.

Westbrook's home and road splits are pretty interesting

    Home: 17 ppg, 41.4% FG, 26% 3s (32/121), 4.9 FTA per game, 4 TOs a game
    Road: 19.3 ppg, 46.4% FG, 32.3% 3s (40/124) , 5.3 FTA per game, 3 TOs a game

He might be pressing at home, his aggression is far more effective on the road

Over the last month, 10 games, 35 mpg, 18.2 ppg, 6.9 rpg, 6.9 apg, 46% FG, 35.3% 3s, 3.3 TOs a game. He's been rock solid and not a liability out there

Yeah earlier this season he strung together a very nice 10 game streak of good games. I'm glad he finally got back to that after a couple horrible months. Not coincidentally we seem to be coming up with a few wins. Let's hope that continues. We've got a tough schedule coming up for the end of the regular season.

Thought he played well for the most part.

    Can't blame him tonight.

And I'm fully on record as wanting him off the team.

His contract kill depth. Better off breaking him up into 2-3 quality players.

Dude needed to step up in the 4th with Lebron on that bum ankle and simply didn't. Took a bad 3 and pullup jumper in the 4th and his defense is consistently awful.

Not a bad overall game but he's so trick and treat and the lack of spacing with him in the lineup makes it harder to play your better defensive players who aren't as good 3 pt shooters

Offensively he was fine- DEFENSIVELY, where this team has had issues all season, he was not. But, at least he can do his stupid cradle move while leading this team to one of the most disappointing seasons over the last 30 years. Great job, loser!

lol, that ship sailed when we moved 3 quality players for him. best we could do now is three sub-quality players, and yes, that would still be an improvement for both the reason you state and just to free up the team to play differently. 30+mpg with a non-shooting, non-defending pg is just death in the modern nba.

Dude puts up great numbers when his teams are getting crushed.

Can't wait till he's somewhere else: I'm hoping it's not next year but I could see them holding off with that contract till it gets really useful around the trade deadline

Harrison Faigen of Silver Screen and Roll? I was on that site for the past few years. This year, I started posting my opinions there of what I saw in the preseason: a terrible team, hoping they'd learn how to play together. I got nothing but crap from the others. Then, after about the first 10 games, I was very critical but tried to be positive; just calling it as I saw it: the team looks bad. Near the end of December the Lakers STILL looked like crap and I started to make fun of the stuff they were saying after the games. Remember when AD said they could go on a 10 game winning streak and everyone would see?

Those Kool-Aid drinkers at Silver Screen and Roll? When they started to say the Lakers might suck and I said, "Where were you?"...anyway, my old, negative posts had disappeared, I found. While they were all sure the Lakers would shift gears and compete for the #1 seed, I was saying, not with this defense. I guess they didn't want my negativity while I was RIGHT about how sorry the team was. I guess they didn't want me to be able to post by quoting what I had said in early November? Who knows...So they got rid of my posts, and when I found out, I deleted my account there and came here, and I welcome the relatively reality-based people who write here.

Sorry: just had to blow off some steam when I saw Harrison Faigen's name posted here. They can bl*w me. Hell: all the corporate SB Nation clods.

the question could have been phrased a bit better, but russ's "turn the question on you" stuff is super weak. i thought turner handled that part well: "i ask questions because i don't know, and you're the person who's supposed to have ideas, not me. i report."

russ hiding behind the "it's a team game" stuff is also just supremely annoying. great. yes. it's not all your fault (a lot of it is, though), so what do YOU ALL have to do to stop being an embarrassment at all times?

and if you read between the lines, his basic answer was: end the season. that's how we stop sucking in epic fashion.

if i find a new way to mock your name, will you leave 47 million on the table?

What is he supposed to say? We suck without Lebron and AD? We already knew that from last season.

Anything but what he said. He doesn't have a clue, he doesn't care, he doesn't contribute to solutions. Everytime he talks I hate him more. We really need to make him disappear ASAP
