That attitude may explain his season, the whole it’s for fun, it’s not the end all be all stuff. You’re getting paid 44 million dollars this season, that’s not for f***** fun, it’s to help your team win. I thought this guy had the Kobe mentality, win at all costs, but he doesn’t, not anymore anyway, he just plays fast. I didn’t even think he was that bad tonight, but yeah, some of those turnovers are just so loud, so unnecessary.

The difference btw him and Jrue Holiday was just so ...... stark? Russ is supposed to be the third star, former MVP and yet it would be laughable to think he's at the same level as Holiday now

I think I just realized a decent little chunk of my Russ annoyance is his stans on Twitter are the WORST. LeBron stans are bad too, but at least they’re defending a guy who is probably top 3 all time, top 5 minimum. This stuff is just awful

    This

    leads to this

Russ’s brain playing the game of basketball this year. Third one down.

    https://soundbible.com/tags-fart.html

Infuriatingly compounded by the fact he’s literally delusional with absolutely no self awareness about how bad he’s playing ….. in spite of watching tape of these kinds of jacka** plays being pointed out to him by the staff and then making those kinds of comments.

    **** you, Russ!!

Man, we have reached peak mess. I remember this sort of stuff in the Kobe-Shaq years, the drama, but we remained a title contender through it. This is just a mess unlike I can remember, even in 2012 Kobe dragged us to the playoffs.

Got to thinking last night and aside from the 100s of other reasons, I really wish Kobe was here for this. Russ was one of his guys and Russ respected Kobe more so than anyone else out there. Those conversations and tough love would be really helpful right now.

Everyone else tells Russ he's not the Russ of old and it's time to adjust, he tells them look at my resume. Kobe tells him and Russ is like oh f***, you're right.

I said in the game thread that I couldn’t think of a move that sunk a team like this.

    still can’t.

I stopped watching at the half, but I find it amusing that the team makes a comeback in the 4th, with Westbrook on the bench, and he lacks any self awareness and blasts Vogel for the benching. I’m sure there’s no correlation to him sitting and the team making a comeback. Even if it’s their usual, “down 20+, let’s make it interesting in the 4th for a minute but still lose” routine.

his comments may make me revise my thinking on the extension. what more evidence does he need that he's not a top player anymore?

lebron has to be privately sick about the fact that he drowned his last two title chances by engineering this trade.

Westbrook has a point though. Vogel hasn't done anything all season to take advantage of the guy's game. We run the same ...Lebron 1 on 1 or AD 1 on1 offense. There aren't any back screens, guys cutting to the basket or anything in this offense. It's give the ball to Lebron or AD and rotate around the 3 point line.

It's the same s*** as last season. No Lebron or AD, no adjustment to the offense of any kind. Run the same s*** figure it out as we go offense. Schroder complained about Vogel’s offense too. Get another point guard and he will too. I'm not sure what Fiz was actually hired to do here.

They clog the lane because nobody ever cuts to the basket. EVERYBODY in the NBA knows that about the Lakers. This offense is terrible, It requires AD or Lebron to go off, which opens up 3 point shots for other guys. If they don't, we are lost. The only time we have ran any thing different, was when both James and Davis were out, we had no other choice.
