Griffin just didn't wanna be dunked on by Nance.

i like moz more than biyombo for what the lakers do/need. still not sure why orl sunk all that cash into him given their situation, though (vucevic on a team friendly deal and ibaka needing some backup minutes at 5 to max effectiveness, not to mention gordon needing lots of minutes at 4).

I don't think looking at those numbers there's a clearly superior player. If anything I give a slight edge to Mozgov considering he's doing similar things in less minutes against greater competition. It's also important to note that Biyombo got 4/72 million while Mozgov got 4/64 million.

I agree Orlando making that move was very strange. Serge Ibaka, Aaron Gordon, Nikola Vucevic, and Jeff Green. Why go get Biyombo? Why spend that much?

because you never want to dig out of the post-howard hole? they've been pretty poorly managed for a while, imo. not as bad as sacramento, but bad.

D Rose who wasn't a no show to the Knicks' previous game (apparently went to Chicago for personal/family emergency) considered stepping away from basketball.

Now he looks to sign a max contract this summer. Lol at the team that's going to give him 5/$150mil. Are there any teams that legitimately need a PG? Nets, Bulls? Kings, Mavs?

In his first 13 seasons in the NBA, Garnett only had 1 season where he played less than 70 games, and that was the 1999 lockout season. Davis' ability to stay healthy is questionable. He's yet to have one season where he's played more than 70 games.

That's about $1 million per game played and new suits for all the games he watches.

He needs to get over that dream. The GM that gives out that contract needs to go to jail for crimes against humanity.

It's a shame he can't stay (or really get) healthy. Anthony Davis is a fascinating player.

I don't remember a player getting so many different injuries and so often during games as AD .

The positive thing is his absence is usually on a couple game basis instead of weeks/months .

There is a big question on the Pelicans medical staff though ( read Gordon/Anderson)

Man, that's horrible. So incredibly unfair for this to happen to them again.

8 weeks puts paul back in time for the playoffs. they had already given up home court in the second round, so i'm not sure what one more round does. if i were them, i'd want to slip to sixth and get houston in round 1 as the underdog...payback time.

but they'll definitely drop some games now.

Paul and Griffin can't stay healthy .... I wouldn't give them these crazy new contracts extensions .

Radical decision but I would trade both of them .

There is enough proof there aren't good enough and healthy enough when it matters

yeah, the ballsy move in clipperland would be to clean house completely (including firing rivers) before everyone bolts/decays, but they probably think they're still on the cusp. both paul and griffin could still net some assets right now.

With the emergence of Embiid, Philly looks pretty good going forward. Embiid and Saric look good, Simmons making his debut soon, Okafor/Noel can be decent trade pieces, possibly two high draft picks in a guard heavy draft.... yeah it's a little depressing
