To be fair , whose throwing a lob to himself in this situation ? You do this only if you're alone on the fastbreak , if not you're throwing it for your teammate . Craig is in the wrong here
It would've been more respectful to do nothing. Did they want a statue all kids could walk up to and rub his head?
hahahahahahahahahahahaha after seeing the size of the Laker statues, I'd be pretty offended as a HOF player
The day is coming where an average player on a lousy club is going to get a 100 foot statue made of platinum.
Is that supposed to be a clue for me asking whom the statue is for? All I come up with is Ant Man and he ain’t a Sixer or retired yet.
GSW hit 26 3s against us in a maddening Laker loss within the past week. But "live by the three; die by the three" seems true enough: GSW gone fishin' after SAC shoots 46% from 3 and GSW only makes 10 for the game and shoots 31% from the arc. Klay: 0-6 from downtown. They died with the 3. Also: SAC is better than them this year. Good riddance, GSW. Sure, we're facing our own bête noir team coming up, but at least the fans around my area (40 miles north of San Francisco) have had their effing mouths shut up by the crummy showing of their team. I hope they have 20 years of crap teams now.
By and large, the Warriors fans are some of the worst I have come across ever. The ones that I have interacted with a less than generous. Me as a Lakers fan, am very appreciative of our competition. I always praise the good players and appreciate what the threat they are to my team. Curry, Durant, Jokic, Murray, etc. etc. I am not going to disparage guys like this, they are great players. I always hope we can find a way to beat them, but I am not going to hate on them. When I do hate on players, it's for a reason that goes beyond them being competition. It is because they are douche bags and deserve to be disrespected over it. Every Warrior fan I have EVER come across just hates every Lakers player and cannot stand Lebron. I don't ever do that to Curry. He is not a perfect player and IF you wanted to give him hell, there are reasons you could pick at. But to me, that is just stupid because the guy has the rings and deserves the respect.
It does look crazy easy compared to coming out of the West. Hopefully that means the West will be tested and ready to give them hell. (And not just worn out)
man, luck o' the irish is strong this year. tatum, brown, white, holiday all played 70+ games. horford played 65. zinger is still standing. their nemesis just lost their best player a few days before they might have played them in the playoffs. the two other best teams in the conference are a) a quart low and b) will play each other in the first round. they won't even break a sweat until the finals, and really the only thing that could prevent them winning it all (injuries, particularly to their old/fragile frontcourt) is limited due to the cake walk early rounds.
Friday's elimination play-ins: Butler is out "several weeks" so the game is CHI-town's to lose. It's in MIA and the Bulls finished 4 games under .500, but I don't see the Heat overcoming the loss of Jimmy. I see DeRozan having a big game. Whoever wins gets to be a tasty snack, a hors d'ouvre, a light aperitif, if you will, for the damned C-Bags. And I kinda want the Pels to knock out SAC, for obvious reasons. Not sure how it will go, haven't looked at Vegas (not that I bet), but I have a feeling CowTown will pull it out in the Big Easy to make the Pels' last 4 weeks look like a nightmare, and maybe get Willie Green canned? Looks like Zion's injury was a hammy, so it doesn't look good for N.O.
Of course if we're there we beat the Bags in the Finals. Let's just get that outta the way. (cough) Sure, it looks like the Bags are right now in a conga line with the O'Brien at the end, with their name on it, all engraved 'n jit, but... Of other West teams: Bags came into MIN on Nov 6 and lost by 5. Bags beat T-Wolves by 7 in BOS on Jan 10. I do think the T-Wolves could put up a good fight. On Jan 19 the Nugs went into BOS and beat 'em 102-100. On March 7 the Bags went into DEN and lost by 6 points. DEN has beaten them both times they faced them this year. Jan 2nd OKC hosted the Bags and beat them 127-123. April 3rd OKC went into BOS and got shellacked by 35 points. We lost to the damned Bags by 11 on xmas in LA this year, then memorably beat them in BOS w/o Lebron or AD. Suns, Mavs, Kings and Pels all lost both games to BOS this year. I mean, it's a nightmare that the Bags may win and overtake us in the all-time championship category, but it's not like everyone they face will be super-easy. Just PHO and DAL. They'll have their hands full with MIN, DEN and us. And OKC will make it a series. Fuhgeddaboudit if it's PHO or DAL, though. Esp. PHO, NO or SAC.
