Wemby 23/18/8 with 9 blocks in losing to Jokic and his 42/16/6. I swear this kid will set quadruple double records that will never be broken. 4 guys have done it once: Nate Thurmond (12 blocks), Alvin Robertson (10 steals), Olajuwon (11 blocks), David Robinson (34/10/10/10 blocks). By the end of next year Wemby'll probably be alone with more at least 2 games of a Quad-Dub. By the end of the season next year he'll be 21 years old. That is if he isn't snapped in two like a twig by someone.
still really curious to see what SA's plan is. they took his rookie year as if it were a throwaway, but he's already an allstar caliber player right now. dudes his size don't tend to have long primes, so what's their plan to maximize that window, starting, like, now? are we going to get another development year wherein popovich plays pfs at pg and such?
Re: my prediction of 50 point games rising after 7 or 8 in a 3 week period just before All Star voting ended, then around 6 weeks of zero 50 point games. First Brunson with 62, Booker with 52, and there isn't an NBA fan alive who would predict 6'1" PG Malachi Flynn scoring 50 off the bench for Detroit, but he did. His per game average was something like 4.2 before this. Bizarre! 34 mins, 50/5/6 with 5 steals.
If I'm a Knicks fan I'm kinda pissed right about now: the idea was that Julius could maybe come back. Just about everyone believed that. Then about a week ago Josh Hart said to the press he'd be surprised if Julius or OG came back this season. Josh is a colorful character so I wasn't sure how to take it. Now: Julius has season-ending knee surgery. Why not earlier? Much earlier? Hey, I'm no doctor, but...(Every time someone says "I'm no doctor, but..." the conversation quickly goes downhill.) An hour ago the Knicks said they were "cautiously optimistic" OG can get back. Sometime. Fairly soon. "On the horizon." Like I said, I'm perturbed if I'm a Knicks fan. I am not. I am not a Knicker-backer. I am a BOS Hater. Capital haitch. My reason for commenting here: any possibility of BOS getting knocked out early, by anyone. (Fat chance!)
Doesn’t change the jist of your comment or sentiments at all but it’s some kind of shoulder injury for Julius they were hoping would heal enough by the playoffs to allow him to avoid season ending surgery. Yeah that all blows for Knick Fan.
We need Miami to lose the 1st play-in and win the second to finish 8th and face Foston in the 1st round
Getting some big time opportunities in Memphis with the injuries. Nice to see the former Laker making the most of it.
How? So many questions. Were refs present? Did they bring their whistles? Was defense played? Did the players go with the Ham special and just put their hands in their pockets and stand there?
very odd, but as the clear 1 and 2 seeds, maybe they are just focused on staying healthy. But that is SUPER odd.
I'm sure he thought his teammate was lobbing to him instead of himself lol Made everyone look stupid, so he fakes major injury to get himself up out of there hahahahaaha
