Same here, always replace the inserts. I usually get the black but have blue and light gray. I figured out a few years ago that I like the wide ones best and seems like I have only been able to get one shoe per year that comes in wide.

I stand by if he was drafted 10 years prior, this is what he'd be doing in the NBA

yeah, he came around at the wrong time. that said, he had the tools to adjust, imo; he just...didn't. he moves pretty well for a guy his size, no reason he should have been such a liability on defense. even if he never became a shooter of any sort, setting screens and rebounding are things teams need.

I think he was one of those guys that getting going offensively was the catalyst for him having an impactful game. The jump starts him being active/engaged in other facets. He never had to do the little stuff to stay in a game or get on the court, his offensive and size was just that much better than the rest at every level until the NBA.

Defense was a mystery though. Should've at least been passable.

i think he had offcourt issues that bled into his play, too. the fact that he never had to work hard meant when the time came he didn't know how to do it. defense for a big is so much about attention and motivation, imo. this is why you see even slow guys like marc gasol and jokic able to play effective defense in the modern game.

whatevs, glad we didn't draft him like i wanted to.

yeah, i wanted okafor, but i wasn't mad when we drafted russell. i was upset that we considered porzingis, though that ended up being pretty smart.

i think there was word we looked at booker, too, and he went 13th (after a lot of underwhelming players).

but yeah, i'm not 100% on my draft preferences...i think my record's pretty good overall, though.

It was a sure thing if the right team drafted him. You should have seen him doing drills with nobody guarding him. It was quite impressive.

LOL Bender... I remember telling @sirronstuff that I've seen him play live and he's gonna bust. Sirron got offended
