Imagine being filthy rich, playing basketball for a living, having won rings on a team so stacked you could just score and coast, and still being this insecure

such a weird case. great example of our greatest strengths being our greatest weaknesses.

but yeah, i still can't get over how into this petty stuff he is, whilst claiming how not into it he is.

Agree on the picks, but if we get Luka, it won't be via trade.

not sure. i know that i want to have as many assets at my disposal during the 25-26 season as i can, though. if dallas continues to be mismanaged in this way, luka will signal that he's leaving, and we need him to AD the market. like with AD, we simply offer everything we have, banking on the fact that luka + anything wins and people will want to play with him in la.

anyway, that's still a ways off, but it would be in the back of my mind if i were jeanie buss.

I did. I don’t remember everything but he gave her permission to trademark his name and he wanted to use it now and she said no. I think he’s going to use a different makeup of his number and name instead.

Looking at the East I predict:

Bucks - Middleton is going to ball out and Giannis can effortless win you 40 games alone.
Sixers - they added great depth and Tucker is great with Embiid.
Boston - they are starting having injury issues with Gallo and now Rob missing the start of the season
Cavs - Mitchell will fit perfectly and Mobley will show out. They will make noise
Atlanta - Murray is an all-star and the lineup is strong with depth
Miami - they haven't made moves and I predict a trade during the season
Nets - they will have problems and the roster is dysfunctional. They have no frontcourt depth
Toronto - I think they make a move down the line too
Chicago - Lonzo is crucial to that team. They may put DeMar in the market for an expiring down the line. We better put Caruso on that deal. I'll be rooting against Chicago every game. They can go after Turner and Wood in the offseason to play with LaVine and Ball

Washington, Charlotte, Knicks will have good moments but won't make it more than the play-in. Magic and Detroit will be better but still at the bottom. Detroit roster has too much depth, they will move some pieces for sure. Indiana is not making the play-in. They really need to move Hield and Turner. They don't make sense in that roster. They also want to extend Haliburton next year, would be nice for them if they hadn't Buddy's contract down the line. I would offer them Russ straight up, but I imagine they'll get a move for Turner around December for a team that wants to make a push. But we may be the only team willing to take on Hield contract, so they need to make a decision. It still wouldn't solve our wing problem

i'm still not sure on atlanta. they're going to score, but i don't think they'll stop anyone. could see them anywhere 5-10, tbh.

if miami is healthy, they'll win. hell, if they were healthy last year, they'd have beaten boston and gone to the finals.

nets are a huge wildcard to me. i could see it coming together (the team is extremely well-built and deep right now), but yeah, i just don't trust kyrie and need to be sure simmons isn't a full-on yips case. anywhere from 1-8 with them, assuming health of course.

curious to see if indy regrets not dealing with us more reasonably. i could see turner getting hurt again and them having no way to move buddy and just sucking. they need to trade turner before his next injury, and this summer was the time, imo. it's possible we dodge a bullet there, too.

Suns, Mercury owner Robert Sarver begins process to sell franchises

Phoenix Suns and Mercury owner Robert Sarver has begun the process of selling both franchises, he announced Wednesday, eight days after the NBAsuspended him one year for violating “workplace standards.”

“In our current unforgiving climate, it has become painfully clear that that is no longer possible – that whatever good I have done, or could still do, is outweighed by things I have said in the past,” Sarver said in a statement. “For those reasons, I am beginning the process of seeking buyers for the Suns and Mercury.”

PayPal, the Suns’ jersey sponsor, vowed to end their partnership with Phoenix if Sarver remained part of the organization. Phoenix All-Star Chris Paul spoke out as well, saying, “I am of the view that the sanctions fell short in truly addressing what we can all agree was atrocious behavior.”

Sarver, 60, was suspended from both teams following the league’s investigation into allegations he fostered a hostile and toxic work environment. He was also fined $10 million and ordered to complete a training program focused on appropriate workplace conduct and respect.

NBA found Sarver “violated common workplace standards,” reflected in the league and Suns’ policies. Among the investigation’s findings, Sarver used racially insensitive language, displayed unequal treatment of female employees, made sex-related comments at work and commented on the physical appearance of female employees. He also “engaged in demeaning and harsh treatment of employees, including yelling and cursing at them,” the NBA said.
