lol the harden stans even blame his teammates in pickup games. of course in a real game, harden would have taken a dive on one or both of those possessions to the tune of 4-5 free points.
I actually think he's the KD and Kyrie mouthpiece. He's known to have better player relationships. Plus Woj is close with Marks and both are CAA. ESPN sat on the KD meeting for 6 hours after Shams posted his story. The biggest story going and your network watches from the sidelines for over half of the business day? Plus don't forget Woj all but called Windy (a colleague) a liar about his Harden for Simmons trade details. Preserving a position of leverage for Marks? On SS&R, Anthony had a guest (Ethan Strauss) on today to talk about all this.
ok, i don't follow this bit as closely as others, apparently. but shams' phrasing was VERY CAREFULLY chosen (you can see the wheels turning) and VERY helpful to bkn's position (and fairly neutral to kyrie's). that said, i do agree that, in theory, the nets can move durant for a good player package (brown+ or siakam+) and that team + kyrie is still competitive and fits. i think this is being discussed in another thread. however, i still think there's no way kyrie feels good about being in bkn right now. remember, this all really started (at least in the press) with them not being able to find a contract agreement. i still see no contract agreement. until i do, i would say that situation is fraught. now, could i see durant moved, and then kyrie sign long-term in bkn? i could see it. i think it's less likely than him being moved, though.
i know he's claimed there wasn't a fix but this came on the heels of 2006 finals that were just one of the most egregious cases i've ever seen for nba conspiracy theorists.
So the biggest twig in the NBA snapped? Shocker. The real surprise is he made it through college with that build. Seems A LOT of guys have been hooping in these summer games this off-season, more than usual. I wonder if teams are going to start pushing back on those appearances, especially with unsafe floors like this game. Just glad they called it after 1 1/2 quarters and Bron didn't get hurt.
Dude got injured guarding Bron for 5 seconds. No way he makes it past Xmas in the NBA. They, (Thunder) should just tank and pick... Wenbanyama, another "iron man" prospect
feel like durant made everyone forget that really skinny tall guys generally tend to get hurt a lot. which is a bit ironic because durant also gets hurt a lot.
Damn, that's a big one. Wonder if teams would be willing to help setup and host these summer games so at least there's not concerns with the court or fans being a little too close (Bron's security had to get a guy off the court, too).
Does it though? In the first 12y of his career he played 8 times over 70 games. 11 over 60 games, including the lockout season. In the past 3 he did failed a full year and played 35 and 55 games. So it's more about the big injury he had and age rather than being injury prone Feel bad for Chet, would have been fun to watch him
sort of what i meant. kd was really the first super tall super skinny guy to not get hurt a bunch...until he did. he's the exception that proves the rule and also isn't fully an exception. but shawn bradley, porzingis, marcus camby, lots of the really thin dudes just get hurt a ton. it's why durant didn't go #1 his year, tbh. no one questioned his talent, but folks were worried about his frame holding up.
