Right but that's my point. They told him "we can get you Paul George" And he still said he wouldn't commit. An untold story right now is that LeBron should be traded too. A guy on an expiring deal who won't commit who is rumored to leave... If you're Cleveland, are you really going to let him walk again?
Can anyone absorb his $35 million contract and would they be willing to on a potential 1 year rental?
A handful of the bottom feeders could get there. Some other teams could come close. I have to think every team would love to take him if they could. What does Cleveland ask for? How much do you give up?... I don't know. Just something to think about. Cleveland would be stupid to call his bluff twice right?
I've heard that the owner had a "LeBron owes me" attitude. Delusional. And I'll bet anyone that he throws another fit if and when LeBron leaves.
i'm still on that clippers nightmare scenario. jordan for george (probably in 3-team deal--though maybe not), dump salary, sign lebron and paul (guessing each would take a small cut to play together in la). ick.
I mentioned this before, but if Lebron is intending to bolt, I trade him for all I can. Players and assets. I probably try to attach Tristan Thompson and Shumpert to him too lol. They could get quite a haul from the C Bags I bet.
The Cavs' new GM (is it Billups?) would get crucified if they traded Lebron away, even though he is intent on leaving.
I'd trade him now. No way I'd let Bron (or any other player) walk and not get something in return. The fan base should understand. If not, oh well.
maybe i'm late on this: can lebron be traded? didn't he sign a deal with a player option after this year? this is part of how he's been exerting power in the latter part of his career. dirk does it to help his team; lebron does it to keep his leverage.
I believe he can be traded, but essentially has a no trade clause with his contract. I highly doubt he accepts a trade anywhere, but I'd at least try.
Should be wearing a tee shirt of him punching the Clippers equipment manager and breaking his hand. Oops, I guess that's too mean. What a pioneer.
Gosh who is in charge of the Clippers marketing department? They have a logo that looks like a third grader produced it, a mascot that belongs on a Foot Loops box and a crazy t-shirt to convince Blake to stay. What is Ballmer spending all his money on?
