Yes there were people making fun of us when we lost to Memphis and I said they aren’t a bad team whether Morant playing or not.
they've had puzzling losses like everyone, but they have just stomped some teams, too. and done more of the latter. can't believe so many teams passed on bane in the draft a couple years ago. guy was clearly nba-ready, as we discussed on this forum. but again, they're just getting a lot out of a strange group of talent.
agree. but we've lost five in a row due in part to similar problems, so i'd be pissed if they rectified it at this point.
yeah, not happening. the nba is clearly following society at large's lead and just sort of trying to wish the situation into the cornfield. they've probably looked at how omicron has gone in other places and figured they'll just weather this storm and get to the other side soon. but was it worth having 20% of the season be absolute garbage? financially, probably. at least in the short-term.
yeah, i figure they're just hoping cases peak sometime in mid-january and it'll be smooth sailing for the most part after
right and the next adjustment won't be bubble, it will be the opposite, imo: they'll scale back testing and pretend asymptomatic spread isn't a thing. i think the cdc's recent shift will make it easier for the pro sports leagues to loosen restrictions, for better and worse.
Ridiculous. I don’t think we ever had a shot at him this summer, but man if there was even a slim one, maybe a sign and trade, suuuuucks we didn’t make happen over Russ.
I was wrong in thinking he was going to be a bad fit there. He’s playing a huge role in turning that team around.
he's been great this year, but man, that first winner was a terrible shot. a running one-legged three with that much time to create? when you're down 1? had he missed it, he'd have been roasted. but he made it. i always felt like people paid too much attention to what derozan couldn't do and missed what he could. he's still a negative on defense, which is disappointing, but he's shooting 37% from three, which makes him one of the most feared offensive players in the league. he can score from anywhere and can't be guarded in isolation.
A lot of late game heroics are bad shots, just a matter of confidence and the player feeling themselves. Luckily, game winning makes are remembered much more so than the misses. 100% agreed. I felt like I was in the minority when I wanted it to try to figure a S&T for him last season. For some reason people thought he was Shaq bad at 3% as well, but the improvement was showing and then this year, it's a legit weapon for him. With Kawhi out, I think DD is the best non-rim running, inside the 3 point line scorer in the game today. Really curious to see how far the Bulls can go this year. They've got the right blend of horses to be a threat, but I still can't see them getting past the Bucks or Nets. Anyone else in the East, I think they could possibly beat in 7.
