If Washington hadn't agreed to the trade, Lakers would have made the Hield trade. Kuz had his bags packed for Sacramento, was shocked to find out in the 11th hour that he was going to Washington.

Then Lakers would have still gotten Rondo like they did, plus another secondary ball handler instead of all SG's, and LeBron probably would have been satisfied enough, as it would replicate the championship lineup from a year ago.

With the situation as it is, he needs to let Westbrook handle the ball more and distribute, which he is good at, instead of being an off ball scorer and shooter, which he is bad at. LeBron said he wants more ball handlers, so let them handle the ball then.

    He's so stupid, good lord.
Forcing to be the alpha dog and all that against the best ever. So glad we didn't got him (though I wanted it at the time)

I'm impressed by the first game of the Miami Heat and by the Warriors' start of the season.

Miami will be tough for everybody, they are impressive on the defensive side. Lowry with Butler, Tucker and Bam will be one of the top 3 defensive line-up in the league: they can switch in every positions and Bam is one of those who are able to be on Giannis without allow 50 points.

The Warriors are a great team. Not so much talent except for Curry, but they are solid and Kerr is a magician. Maybe they are the worst team to play against for teams like us, teams which are a work in progress. With the return of Klay and the correct development of Wiseman, they'll be a contender.

i need to see more of miami. early games can get lopsided in a hurry, even between good teams. didn't dallas beat the clips by 50 in the first week last year? i just think a lot of teams are still tinkering, which can lead to uneven/unexpected outcomes.

gs looks the same to me, which is a well-coached team with a bunch of shooters and some likely fatal flaws. i wonder if curry can really keep up the pace at his age, tbh. people worry we ask too much of lebron, but they ask everything of curry on offense right now.

Yeah, Miami has a chance to be really good. Even after last year, I still don't believe in the Bucks, and don't think they would beat a number of fully healthy teams in the playoffs.

For GSW to look this good with the mediocre to bad team they have around Steph is pretty incredible imo, just a testament to Steph's awesomeness. If Klay can get to 90% by the playoffs, they're in contention for the WCF for sure and maybe more. Stephen A (lol Stephen A) thinks they can win it all if Klay is fully healthy.

i said before the season that if klay is 100% (i'm skeptical there), they have a chance (like them better than phx and maybe even denver and utah, tbh). i think they need to move wiseman for someone who can play now, though. eventually, their lack of talented bigs will catch up to them in the playoffs.

yeah, and it's a small sample, but he's basically doing what i (and others) said he would if he didn't get so many ridiculous FTAs: looking like a semi-star. 18 points, 8 assists (to 6 TOs), efg at 48%. his superstar game was build entirely on FTAs. good player without them, but not great.

of course, it's early, and he's still in strip club shape, so that factors into all this. but if he gets 5-6 FTAs per game, which is probably appropriate for what he does, he's probably a 24/9/7, high turnover, no defense player, which just ain't it.

    C. Anthony with 29, 16 & 8, including 5 threes on 56/56/86% shooting.

...No, not Carmelo Anthony, that's Cole Anthony in his 2nd year in Orlando. He's only had 4 20+ pt games before, although 3 of them were in the last month of last season. He could be one to watch. ...Who am I kidding, who watches Orlando. :giggle:

hey, at least he was a plus in this game for the first time.

and omg the blazers went 8-37 from three and had 30 turnovers against the clippers. that's got to be one of the worst offensive performances in recent history. watch them do the opposite against us.
