don't you dare forget bonga! i keep being reminded that he was a key piece we gave up (and not a stupid pick that went against our scouting department's wishes that will be back playing in europe soon). thomas bryant is actually doing ok as a starting c, though--as long as you don't want to win. i agree with rodg: our scouts are great. our player development sucks. anyway, would trade all for AD by himself and room to fill out the roster.
Abeer: the Randle and Russell stats are from full seasons. In fact, Zu and Nance would be full seasons too. Russ led his team to the playoffs last year.

Warriors are being destroyed by Thunder right now. 70-35 at some point, WTH? I did not expect them to be this bad. For sure they'll play much better with time, but so far they look terrible, especially if you consider what a force they were for a few years.
There was a moment at the end of that game that crystallizes how I feel about Harden and Westbrook. Rockets had time to burn, the Pels were going for a foul. Harden lunges head first into a double team "trying to draw a foul" and loses the ball for a basket. On the following play, Westbrook gets the inbound, and friggin out-runs the defense all the way to the other corner of the court before they foul him. Westbrook trying harder than everyone is damn entertaining. I hate watching Harden "draw fouls" for 8 min spans during a game.
yeah, i gathered that from the post. but my point was that all of those guys generally did that while losing a lot. russ is the exception (and also the one i was most angry about salary dumping). maybe i'm wrong, but i don't see ingram's style leading to winning, nor randle's. ball's may, but he has to be your 4th/5th best player/glue guy. like late career kidd. torn on rockets. really intensely dislike morey/dantoni/harden, but i've always liked westbrook. it's nice to see him outshining tubby early and showing his value. still can't believe they got him while getting off paul's contract.

We might have seen Prince’s offensive game, but no one I can recall saw that sort of defense. Maybe as a Long off hope.
I may have an irrational thing against D'Antoni, if there's anything redeeming about him is unlocking the talent of a primary ball handler on offense; I think we're seeing flashes of this with Russell. However I genuinely don't like Harden and Morey. Otherwise, there are moments where it's Westbrook, Gordon, Tucker- all 3 guys are strong, can shoot and make basketball plays with an FU streak. And they're playing fast. It's entertaining for sure. Harden can still get buckets when the game slows down. If the new balance between Harden and Westbrook means less Harden, it might be better for the Rockets. Westbrook is a more of a PG compared to Harden, and seeing that put to use under D'Antoni's principles is something I did not anticipate enjoying this season.
How does Houston have any fans is beyond me, Harden is unwatchable, 22 FT's, 3-14 from 3. I would rather do the dishes, paint the house or wax my balls than watch this s***.
the league's had chances to fix this stuff, and at every turn they've supported harden. you have to feel that they want it this way--which is odd, as pretty much nobody outside of houston wants to watch harden's version of basketball. i tuned in some last night. i think i watched a several minute stretch wherein the rockets scored 80% of their points on FTAs, almost all by harden, almost all on pretty weak contact (some of which he initiated, of course). every time i tune in to a houston game i'm immediately reminded of why i generally don't. that should be a problem for the league office, but they're like: FU, harden GOAT.
