Zion looks "good". I don't think Morant or Barrett... or anyone since 2013 stands a chance in the ROY race.

I think he will struggle his first year in the playoffs with teams who can effectively slow the pace and bother him with length, but he is a freak of nature for sure.

The adjustments he makes from there will determine how great of a career he has. That, and his weight management.

His work around the basket... He just lays them up. Wade-esque in some regards. At his size and athleticism...

If Zo can stay healthy and they develop together (I have no doubt that BI isn't going to be anything... he is the same player he always projected to be)... NO can be very nice,
until they trade Zion to us in like 5 years.

I'm a huge fan of Luka, love the kid... but Zion is a different kind of beast. You're right though, Luka is (was) the best prospect since AD ;)

From an ESPN article on Steph. They really are going through a transformation roster wise, and will remain very competitive.

    You hate to see it....

Sources: Rockets' Gerald Green likely out for extended stretch

    • Tim MacMahonESPN Staff Writer
Key Houston Rockets reserve swingman Gerald Green is believed to have suffered a broken left foot and is expected to miss an extended stretch, league sources confirmed.

Sources said that Green, who was injured during the Rockets' preseason win Thursday over the Toronto Raptors in Japan, will get more medical opinions on Monday to confirm the diagnosis and determine the best course of treatment.

The hope is that Green, who averaged 9.2 points off the bench, will not require surgery to repair his foot. If he needs surgery, Green will likely be sidelined for a few months.

Green's absence will deplete the Rockets' wing depth, which was already a concern.

The Athletic first reported that Green likely broke his foot.

yeah, i just think not being able to shoot is such a limitation in the modern nba. giannis's nickname is apt, and his team got smacked around once a good defensive unit kept him from taking bunnies all game. will most teams be able to keep zion out? no. but to be an all-timer, there can be zero teams that can do that.

I'm going to be watching a lot of Ja Morant. He has the green light on a bad Memphis team and I like his play style.

8 straight 3's is damn impressive... even against a bad Cavs team. I guess that's what a game time Sasha Vujacic looks like :D
He had to be on the Freakin C Bags, FML.

    no talk of the extensions?

beal agreed to two more years.

hield pressuring kings for big bucks, kings also trying to keep bogdanovic at below-market (imo) extension. kings are just poorly managed and have been for a long time.

You’d think Beal was on the trade market with how much he was talked about being a trade target. Good on the Wizards for extending him, gives them one last hoorah with Beal and a recovered Wall before something gives.

more important, perhaps, is that washington realizes that cap space plus protected picks isn't going to net anything better than beal, so why sell unless he's demanding out? not to mention they're paying wall big money forever and are not a FA destination.

i always thought it was unlikely he was moved last year or this year. maybe if they're terrible again this year, he'll ask out and they'll oblige. but all the talk about him moving during the past 6-8 months seemed like bs to me and probably was.

His availability seemed to be media driven to me. Everyone brought up his name as a target but it never came from Washington or his camp.

They have both Wall and Beal until 2023-24 with the extension. A couple years to attempt a playoff push before rebuilding starts again. They don't have much besides those two and Thomas Bryant or Rui.
