New Orleans going to be one of the most fun if not the most fun team in the league to watch this year if they have health. I love the way Lonzo plays when healthy. He just creams guys shots ferociously whenever he gets a chance to swing at them and then the way he takes the ball up court and continues to see the game at his elite level. Zion is just unreal. Julius Randle on steroids and Nitrous .....

I miss Thomas Bryant. I was mad about Zu but letting go of Bryant was beyond dumb. I always liked the kid.

There is no room for another Bryant in Laker lore. He had to go.

Had to make room for Bongo, Silly.

And probably from Lakers FO lurking on LB @therealdeal might have scared them off TB with that THING he had about Bryant's "HIPS" :giggle:

i watched them a bit last night, and i worry their half court is going to get mucked up just like ours did when we had ball and ingram. teams are rightfully unconcerned with zion, ball, or ingram shooting from anywhere outside the paint.

now, if they can play great d and get out and run, then yes, fun ensues. but i'm guessing teams will figure out that if they get back on d, the pels will struggle to score. god help them if holiday misses time (like he usually does).

but yes, zion is a crazy athlete. almost seems like one of those bowling ball guards with his body control and agility, then you realize he's 6'6" 285.

Only saw the highlights I found and posted, and you make good points about the shooting.

Looking forward to Bulius vs Zion going mano a mano in the paint when those two get together if can ever see it.

I hate Denver, but having this kid back could be big for them. They could be the 3rd best team in the West, they already had the best record last season.

Man - Zion is an absolute beast. I hate hate hate that the Pelicans got him. So effing lucky. He's a generational talent - will probably be 20/10 easily this year.

I told you he will do just fine in the NBA. He's not just an athletic freak, he's good at basketball.
Good thing we're getting him in a few years, few seasons after getting Giannis. Right? :D

I don't think "luck" was involved in this one (just like it wasn't there when they got AD) ;)

i wasn't that high on porter even prior to the injury, tbh. he's not a great athlete, and i'm not sure if his range easily extends to the nba three. heavy on iso, not sure if he's as strong off the ball (though in denver that may not matter?).

anyway, ironically, he reminds me of tatum a bit.
