I honestly think his hands are massive and those long finger maybe get jammed more?

Every time Rondo plays well, he gets injured the same game. Happened vs the Warriors as well last season. When he plays bad, he's healthy. When he plays well, he's injured. Just can't win with him...

We need a replacement badly. He’s so bad he made me ask myself if I want to trade for Elfrid Payton.

Rondo must have picked up the heat that used to go to KCP. Playoff Rondo will work out in the playoffs. He didn’t forget how to play,

By the heat you mean sucking, Jaguar? Yeah. He caught whatever KCP had at the beginning of the year. Playoff Rondo might work but so far against the better competition he hasn't played well. I don't want to count on a magical turnaround. Obviously I'd like to get Collison but what happened with all of his comeback talk?

I do. I was relentlessly criticizing kCP, but he turned it around to a point where I leave him alone. I’ve accepted there will be a few “KCP plays”, like air-balling layups, each game and that’s fine now.

I’m the same with Rondo. He will have head scratching errors mixed with some surprising streaks of shooting and playmaking. But, to me the regular season is a game of checkers, and the playoffs is a chess match. Rondo knows too much about this game and has led a championship team to now conclude he doesn’t know what he’s doing. I want Rondo on my bench in a chess match.

Now I’m working on getting pass my disappointments with Kuz.

rondo was really bad for stretches last night, but then he'd make an important play. he's pretty frustrating, overall, though. i wonder if we just rode with cook for a 10-game period if he wouldn't find a way to be part of things.

Me too. Cook did a good job recently filling in for Rondo. With Rondo's finger injury I don't really understand not giving Cook any minutes. It's back to how it was before with Vogel overplaying Rondo with mixed results. Also when all of our guards other than KCP couldn't shoot the ball at all why didn't Daniels get any run? Again, these guys played well when given time. I think we should give them some PT - we have a lot of guards. If someone isn't cutting it, try a different player.

Rondo continuously getting the mins he's getting is making me think twice about adding Collison. As the Boston game showed, we struggle against teams with good wings player. Maybe we should hold out for Iggy, if that's available?

Adding Collison, he would theoretically replace Rondo in the rotation. Then, playing locker room politics, Vogel HAS to play Rondo right? You don't want Rondo blowing up like in Chicago or Dallas right? That pushes Caruso out of the rotation, something we cannot afford to do.

yeah that's a good point - getting Collison would just push Caruso out of the rotation if anything...not Rondo like we're all hoping.

I'm just sick and tired of seeing the same stuff from Rondo every night and we're not changing anything.

Honestly - LeBron and AD need to step up and say something - they need to get so frustrated with Rondo that they banish his a** from this team. And Rondo is killing Kuzma too...

That's not in either of their DNA. Bron is more likely to run off a coach than a teammate. And one he's close with... forget about it.

Problem with that is two fold...
    1) as i mentioned in the rumor thread today, there's a s*** ton of competition in the wing market both in trade and buyouts. It's slightly worrisome with regards to our ability to add someone.
    2) memphis was supposed to suck. But the rook is killing it. Ja is keeping them in play for the post season. At some point the staff and front office is going to have a eureka moment and realize he can help them in their playoff aspirations and they will ask him to join the team, especially with no one offering them the 1st round pick they thought they'd get. This will probably also keep Crowder from hitting the market. Making the wing market even more competitive for playoff teams who want to be buyers.

I wish Cook would get more regular season minutes, especially in the first half of the season which is now almost over. But, who would you rather have in the playoffs, Cook or Rondo? Cook is an issue if Collison comes on board. But, until that happens I think Rondo doesn’t need to play so much, and Cook should eat those minutes.

Rondo hit two corner 3s when open and had 2 nice assists.

He was okay by his standards. Again, this was against a lottery team.

Let's see what he does tonight.

Rondo cops a lot of slack, but he plays the backup PG role and he does it pretty decently for 15-20 mins a night. If we had a better starting PG than Avery Bradley it wouldn’t be such an issue and I’m really banking on getting Collison to do just that.

But I don’t understand the outright hate for Rondo who at best is the 8th man coming off the bench. The major games we lost to bucks, clippers or C Bags had to do with our weakness on the wing and not to do with Rondo.

He may deserve all the trash talk he gets around these parts from time to time, but no other guard on the team could have pulled off those two assists. Collison is a good passer too, but not nearly that good.

    holy cow, batman!
