He played too much for me in that first half. Hope that's not a trend. He's best used when Lebron is out and AD is in. They do have a good connection.

He's awful. Trash defensively, got burned in transition, and mucks up spacing. For all the good we see, there is every bit as bad...

My hope is Vogel sees him more as a player coach than a player lol. He's a bonafide 3rd stringer. Caruso is way way better.

Locker room politics I guess ... Hopefully Vogel will have some balls and make the right call

Tonight I expected him to start and Vogel went with Bradley. 1st game with Bron and AD. All the talk and politics aside Vogel made his choice with Rondo healthy and started Bradley. I think it tells us a lot. Maybe he just wanted to see how AB looked against elite Curry? Whatever it worked out well. Avery looked quick and into it.

3 biggest takeaways for me from the game:
    1) still sloppy. Clean that s*** up.
    2) gonna get a lot of open looks. Work with the shooting coach.
    3) has good chemistry with AD. hopefully that overrides some of the bad.

He's going to have a big role. He has AD and a Bron's full support. Outside of Bron, he's our most trusted ball handler. When Bron's load management comes into play, I would even expect him to start.

I would rather he probe and lob or lay it up himself than take 3s (especially with AD and McGee cleaning everything up) , but with open looks like that, you have to take at least some of them.

yeah, we're clearly going to have to live with him. given that, i'd like to see him come off the bench and play with AD for a few minutes while bron is sitting and some shooters are out there.

Yup. Rondo and AD have chemistry and you're going to want to stagger AD and Lebron... Sub Rondo for Lebron, move AD to the 5... Bring Lebron back in when you take AD out... The exact details get funky without Kuzma which sucks.

He settled into his game much earlier and made much smarter decisions with the basketball, both as a passer and a scorer. Wanted to see him go against Kyrie a little, but also not complaining that he (accidentally) took him out of the game. Wouldn't mind him keeping that up when the games matter.

I don’t care about any stats he puts up, unless it’s with the bench unit. As a starter, he is a hindrance. Same exact issues he created as a starter last season, but now he’s getting in the way of 2 superstars

Rondo should never be on the court when Lebron is in ... PERIOD

the green point is important. he's a decidedly less useful player when he's not playing with stars, so we should just not have that happen. let kuzma and rondo try to carry some offense when we're sitting one of the big guns.

Agreed. He's here to create space, hit 3s, and guard the best wing on the other team. Coming off the bench and playing in lineups where he is the best or second best player negates anything he brings to the team.

I strongly, strongly dislike Rondo. And no, there weren’t a lot of PG options to be had,
and no, Caruso isn’t an ideal answer and might not be ready to take the leap, but there’s got to be another solution, because Rondo is going to hold this team back as a starter.
