He needed that nasty R rated gif of Metta doing something inside the left side of his mouth.

thats why I wondered why someone challenge my comments that Rondo is a TERRIBLE defender, he's KCP'ish in that he plays passing lanes for steals but as far as staying in front of his man or even locating his man its pretty much non existent.

Caruso should be the backup PG next season, all things considered. If Rondo wants an early retirement to become an assistant coach in LA, fine. Otherwise, he can go f*** up some other team's spacing.

Whether I want him back or not depends on what moves we make this summer. I know he's very unpopular around these parts and for good reason. He made a name for himself off his defense, that's gone. He was a great facilitator, that's dropped off a cliff. He's smart and still a good rebounding PG, that's his current best two on the court attributes. My interest in him remains due to what he brings when there's not 48 minutes on the clock.

He has Bron's respect, not a lot of players have that, especially at that price. There's even fewer who he will listen to. Rondo is a teacher and a mentor...when he's sitting on the bench and not with the fans. He was the locker room leader on the veteran side. He was the one who arranged a players meeting when the team was unraveling...thanks Bron. That is more valuable than AC's on the court contributions.

If we bring in a second star or another veteran who can replace those qualities, then see ya Rondo. That's easier said than done though, if we can't, then I want him back.

If that’s the case I hope we don’t hire a coach until August, I hate Rondo. Careless turnover machine, half-a**** every game that isn’t marquee, can’t shoot for s***.

I'd consider giving him another shot. I think motivation was a huge factor in the 2nd half of the season. We sucked with no real shot at making the playoffs. And he was injured. Maybe he can turn back the clock when he's focused on a contender.

Once a C bag always a C bag. Even though his face (and Kendricks) doesn't look to happy ;)
