i'm pretty sure it was in the 3rd or 4th when he collided with green and went down holding his right hand

kobe went through two straight finals runs playing with a right index finger that was debilitated by arthritis. i remember reading an article that he basically had the finger of an 80 year old man. still don't get how he managed to adjust his shot to suit that finger sleeve he would wear. rondo is a tough mf'er because this is the second time this season he's severely injured his hands and stayed in the game but kobe will forever be on another level in terms of playing through injuries

Nobody can or should try to match Kobe's obsessiveness with playing. It made us admire the hell out of him, but it also cut his career a few years short.

    i blame pringles for that

truly think kobe could have still been playing if he hadn't run him into the ground

This sucks. Rondo got us that game on Wed. If it was the playoffs he'd probably play through it but in December there's no need for that.

Now no Rondo, LeBron or MCGEE. It's on Lonzo to lead us against Sac. Go get it kid.

Yes, but in Rondo's case, he is fragile. He has only one season in the past 11 where he has played 70 games or more, and in those 11 seasons, he's played less than 55 games 5 times.

He wasn't strong enough to tell Kobe no, and I blame him for that. But in reality, Kobe has nobody to blame but himself.

Not that I like saying that.

Wow, we really can't catch a break. So disheartening to lose Rondo again right after getting him back. He's a huge difference maker for us as we saw vs. GS. Here's hoping he can heal up soon. I'll guess we'll hear more tomorrow.

Losing Rondo hurts bad after losing Lebron, thats two of our best playmakers. Guess its time to see what the kids have in them. Hopefully Lance, Tyson and KCP can provide enough veteran steadiness.

Kobe was just a different kind of cat. His drive and determination made him who he was. No coach could control what burned in him. Without it he might have played longer but it wouldn't have been Kobe. He spoiled basketball for many of us. Hasn't been the same.

but he jabs with his left, so I'm not too worried

Heal up fast Rondo. We need you bro. In your absence, this dude named BI tries to show off his handles. It ain't pretty.

I know it’s not his fault but this is really frustrating. With Lebron out, we could really use his vet presence and passing out there.

One of the better reads this week and a dive into what Rondo has meant to this team and his feelings about the organization and his new teammates.

    Encourage everyone to read it
