Except talent / "chops" obviously can be developed by work and practice. Skill not only word used.

Lonzo should start , his superior defense is needed in the starting 5

agreed and I think his shooting is needed. Not that he was a knockdown shooter last year, but I think he's much better than he looked and is a more willing shooter from range than Rondo. If he can get that percentage closer to his college shooting, that will be a huge boost.

I would say Rondo is better because he is more consistent, but Lonzo has the ability to be better on any given night.

By my definition yes Dwight Howard would have been more talented, that doesn't make him a better player. It's called "wasted talent".

Not by the way I define the word in this context. The way I see it, you work or your skills. Your talent level is what you're born with. I understand not everyone will agree with my usage of the words, but they make sense in the context I'm giving you.

Rondo was fun to watch that’s for sure. He makes plays happen constantly. Whether he starts or comes off the bench, we are better when he’s out there, at least offensively. He also does stuff like this that had me laughing, did it at least twice

Very controlled and I loved that he was constantly talking and getting the guys to huddle up to go over defensive overages or something to that end. Even from my TV I could just feel the brain power on that court with Lebron and Rondo handling the ball and making plays.

This was definitely true. There were plays I felt both of them wanted to make, but the other guys (the younger ones mostly) just weren't quite ready for. Javale was able to feast because he's played at a high level and expects those plays. Ingram started catching on quickly.

I really liked the chemistry between Ingram and LeBron early, but Rondo does such a good job of getting people the ball in their spots. Kuzma is going to have to work on playing off-the-ball a lot, but Rondo can make his life so much easier.

Rondo/Hart/Lance or Svi/Kuzma/Beasley should bring some good defensive energy and explosive scoring ability when things get rolling.

He's an offensive genius; great orchestrating an organized offense, great vision, etc. The concern is defensively...

I also loved those moments when the camera showed our bench literally right after Rondo first came out and he already has the ipad out watching film from when he was just in the game to figure out what they need to do better on defense or where he can exploit them on offense.

Here is one of those pictures

Never thought in a million years that I'd be rooting for this ex-C bag, but I'm completely thrilled that he's on our team and I can see how he's going to really help us this season.

This was the single best moment of game 1 for me. Rondo on the bench with that pad, and guys actually paying attention to what he was teaching.

Rondo's constant talking out there is great, this team really needed a "coach" out there. But if Ball misses anytime I'd like to stutter playing time with Rondo and Lebron just to have at least one of the elite ball handlers/play makers out there at all time.
