Completely different team out there with Conley. More so than the other teams who were without their PGs (Clippers and Wiz)
Anybody why I would offer Conley a max offer in 2016 and have said so on multiple occasions; he's a freaking stud. That's my guy in 2016 if we don't have a legit PG. Max freaking offer...
No doubt. He's probably been the most underrated PG for the past 5 years or so. Great game by the Grizzlies. Also, Curry stunk today. MVPs almost always stink when they receive their award, but Mike Conley had a lot to do with that. He's one of the few players that play on both ends of the court.
What a difference Conley makes, dude played both sides of the court. Memphis has a better chance of winning if the score is below 100.
One Eyed Charlie...The Dog...The Bruise Brothers. Supporting cast of Lee, Green and Half Man-Half Sometimes Amazing. Memphis! Golden State really has no inside game to balance their outside shooting. Splash Brothers, eh? Barely a ripple tonight. None of their wings can create off the dribble.
This series is the opposite for me of the Clippers / Rockets series. I want both of those teams to lose. In this one I'd like to see both GS and Memphis win. Golden State would be more fun to watch in the Finals, but man, does Memphis get after it on D, and it's hard not to root for a team that has never had any success.
The Warriors finally lost one. This series is going to be more interesting than NBA finals. Monster game by Conley.
Exactly how I feel TIME. I really love watching these two teams and I wish this was the finals basically. I think this one goes the distance since Conley was able to return and just look at the difference. That's what I was saying in my earlier post on the subject. Now it's a fair fight and who knows, Memphis could actually take this. I like them both so much that I don't ultimately care which one wins, I just want the stronger team so that they can kick the crap out of the Paper Clips or Sprockets and whoever comes out of the Leastern Conference.
That's unlikely simply because they are a better team. That doesn't mean they can't lose the series, of course. Anything can happen in the playoffs. But I would not bet against GSW this year.
Tony Allen bites on Curry's pump fake but still manages to defend his shot better than 99% of players:
Memphis D was much better, but I think GS missed a lot of shots that they normally make (K Thompson I'm looking at you). Thompson really forced a lot of shots in an effort to get going -- those bad shots were basically TOs.
Curry's been missing a lot of open looks. I think that was his 3rd open 3pter that he missed to start this game.
Memphis handing out a BEAT down on GS tonight. This series is such a study in opposites . . . the Grind half court game of the Grizz vs. the uptempo, streak shooting of the Warriors. This game is all Grizz so far.
