Well, I think the Warriors can beat them in the finals. But I am tired of this weak Eastern conference.

Hope Carroll has a speedy recovery. That was rough.

Series is over. Hawks had to hold court at home and with no Carroll, forget about it

The East is a joke, the NBA won't fix the playoff structure so long as Lebron is playing in the east. They want him in the finals as easy as possible. If he had to face one of the west teams this playoffs I don't think the Cavs would have won.

DeMarre Carroll on crutches, so you can draw your own conclusions about the rest of this series

It's up to an owners vote .. of course not a single one owner of a Leastern team has any interest in voting "yes"

If Warriors-Cavs happens , it's going to be 2007 Spurs - Cavs all over again .

FML. NBA should just hold a press conference at the start of every season, saying that Brons team is in the Finals by a default. Make the west teams battle for a privilage to face King James. Simple...

It's really sad, the NBA really needs to consider changing the playoff structure. LeBron could've taken games off and they'd still get to the Finals.

They should have #1 play #16 etc. This makes no sense, since Eastern conference offers absolutely no challenge. Look, they had two teams who lost more then they won -- and they made the playoffs.

So glad to hear @DeMarreCarroll1 is questionable for Game 2 and that the MRI showed no structural damage to left knee! ‪#‎ATLHawks‬ 27m

Seriously that's such great news. He is due for a massive payday this summer... We already saw where that might not happen for Wes Matthews. It would be terrible if that happened for DeMarre too.

Yeah, this is not going to work for the Hawks. It's going to be 0-2 after tonight.

One series was good in the East (Cavs/Bulls). You could argue Wizards/Hawks, but that was more of a battle of two mediocre teams trying not to eff the game up. The East is seriously an absolute complete joke. I have had zero interest in any of the series this year, except for Cavs/Bulls.

Only 3 players in the East made the all-NBA teams. Other receiving votes (besides Wall and Butler) are impact role players at best.

1-16 best team format for the playoffs is a MUST. This is pathetic.

And lets not forget that Phil basically gifted the Cavs JR and Shumpert in exchange for a 2019 second round pick. Nice job jacka**. Have fun with #4 overall for your efforts.

Word is he was pissed when his pick was announced. Their rebuild took a step back for sure. They'll get a good player, but the buzz around their franchise is (like always) so damn negative. What FA wants to go there really?

There was half a minute I was worried the Lakers would have to bid against NY for players who wanted a big market... Yeah I'm not worried anymore.

Hawks are playing like s***. It's a disgrace to my city. This is not the team that made it to the playoffs. Teague has been outplayed by his backup. Rondo 2.0, way too often. Millsap and Horford haven't looked like themselves. Korver is on a damn milk carton. Carroll and Bazemore are the only two who are giving it 100% and don't look like lost puppies. Carroll, Horford, and Korver are all banged up now. Pero is teetering on Kwame status for me...one of the worst, dumbest "big men" I've seen in the league for some time.

Bron keeps getting laughable whistles, not like it matters this series, but the flagrant they called and I counted 4 obvious travels (the bunny hop to split the D...come on! ). Thanks Phil for gifting Bron a sleep walk to the finals by handing over your so called trash. They've been the difference for the injury riddled Cavs. And if I hear Triston compared to Rodman one more time, someone's getting slapped. We get it! He's a good offensive rebounder. The Worm was arguably the best rebounder ever, he could guard anyone on the court and shut down most of them, and he played a better mental game than anyone not named Michael Jordan. So STOP! These announcers are embarrassing themselves by spewing such tomfoolery.

Lol, i said Cavs in 5, this is a sweep. Hawks team is a joke. After the ASG they showed us who they realy are, so nu surprise here. Lebron could beat them teamed up with some HS kids. If they all get healthy (Verejao, Love, Kyrie), they'll make the finals for the next 5 years. UGH
