That's not whining, that's saying the truth ;).
With that being said, i hope Doc shows them (Clipps) a video from his "touching the rings ceremony" with the C Bags in a few years. That's as close to the rings as they will get... (unless DJ signs with us this summer) ;).

The only thing to dislike about the Spurs is their (mostly) terrible dumb fans

    :rofl::rofl:

A player usually answers this when he has a ring on his own

haha DJ, truth hurts, this time both ways...DJ is a CPFlop creation, take Paul away and he is McGee, he shouldn't be so sensitive with Barkley's remarks.

The Spurs win in 6. At least that's what I am hoping for.

this one's tough to call for me. if splitter's limited, the spurs aren't quite as good, and the clips have been the second best team in the west, imo, for most of the season. they've got home court, and if they're going to get this monkey off their back, it has to be now. so, I'm picking them in seven, realizing this could look quite stupid, even a few hours from now.

as far as rooting...I actually no longer harbor spurs hate. I think it pretty much died when bowen retired, actually. I don't really dislike any of the current roster. I love Duncan and pop, and I like their style of play.

the clippers are quite hard to root for, as many have and will continue to detail.

I just hope whomever wins this series is healthy--I want the rockets to go down hard in round 2.

side note: I've got a lot of crow to eat on deandre Jordan. I think he's improved dramatically over time. I once thought his current contract was going to be a big mistake, and now I'd advocate giving him a max deal this summer. if he could just shoot a ft, he'd be a bigger, badder Tyson chandler. alas, he can't...

As bad as the Spurs have played tonight, they have still managed to crawl back into this one. I think they take it in seven.

It really really really sucks to have to watch the Clippers in the playoffs while we are at home again. The faster they are out of this the better.

Worst SAS playoffs game I watched in a while .... On the other end Griffin , CP3 and Crawford had great games .

    SAS need Splitter defensively

Ladies and gentleman we had a playoff performance CP3 sighting. If dude can play like that for 6 games the Clippers are on to something.

Clippers shot lights out, Spurs shot like crap. Neither of those will be sustained for the whole series and I think the Spurs will bounce back. Good thing they have 2 full days of rest between game days, Parker will need to rest up that ankle/hamstring if the Spurs are going to make some noise.

Spurs will adjust as they always do but this is looking like it could go 7 games.

You know what? I have to give some credit to the Clippers players. CP3 was great, Griffin has improved his game exponentially. Had some nasty dunks, and his ballhandling is impressive when he is focused. Also, DJ's free throws suck, but man... very good defensive presence in the paint. You can't ignore that.

The Spurs were pretty bad though. They can do better than that. In any case -- even if the Clips win, I hope they can take down the Rockets in the 2nd round.

I wouldn't make too much out of this game. The Spurs looked lackluster and the Clippers played with so much energy, I don't think they can sustain that. And it was basically a must-win for the Flippers. I am confident the Spurs will take care of Game 2.

In more related Lakers news, Ballmer turned the Lakers' locker room into a VIP lounge for yesterday's game.

As I'm still confident we'll be winning a chip' before those guys we should turn their locker room into our Celebration room after we've won the finals ....

clips should be worried that they needed to rely so heavily on paul throughout, imo. they need to find more ways to get the redicks and jordans easy buckets, imo. paul can do what he did last night, but it's asking a lot over and over.

kawhi leonard has really impressed me with the improvement in his off the dribble game. he's a great athlete/physical specimen, but it's taken a TON of hard work to get him from where he was on day 1 in the nba to now. if you had told me a couple years ago that he'd be able to face up and iso against sfs, I'd have said you were smokin' it.

Clippers badly need a starting SF and a decent big off the bench ...

If you put Barnes on the bench with Crawford and let's say a player like Mo Speights , they would be more credible as contenders ...

Yeah he's been killing it on the left block/elbow for 2 months ... posting up/facing up and elevating over his defender ...

He/Spurs were not ready for the double team in Game 1 though ...

Pop is a smart coach so I'm confident he'll make the proper adjustments for game 2. Spurs just need 1 to seize home court advantage.

yeah, but game 1 is important because to retain the advantage gained by winning game 2, the spurs have to take three straight overall against a very good team. home or away, that's a feat.
