PP gave the C Bags team signed jerseys when they played in Boston this season. A farewell tour is when they give you stuff, not the other way around.
They had a reunion on TNT's 'KG Area 21" segment... With The Lie was Rondo, Porkins, Garnett, Shrek. Rivers was on a video screen and presented Pierce a wheelchair as a going away present. Must be an homage to us Lakers fans, a shot at us or whatever. Managed a small smile. It's as if Ray Allen wasn't part of their time...
http://www.totalprosports.com/2017/...&utm_medium=blackadamschefter&utm_campaign=fb I guess he had to use a prop (wheelchair) to help him forget about his two Game 7s in LA.
everytime i think about that 2008 C Bags team i remember this clip from the espys that year when they won an award and ray allen thought he was so cute in saying "another win in LA" right after they accepted the award. i'll never forget when the camera showed fish in the crowd who looked like was about to run onto the stage and kill every one of the C Bags players. it still feels so great knowing they beat those punks in '10 start at 3:57
And that is why we love Fish. These are the mother-f***ing intangibles. People don't understand how can he be so valued by us, despite all of his flaws.
I don't think so. Who does? KG, Ray Allen, Duncan, Etc didn't get one. Dirk won't. Maybe MJ on his last go around and Kareem. Chech to top 50 players, I'd be surprised is even 5, including Kobe, got one. That's really not an indication of how great a player is. I'll trade the wimpy wheelchair bit for getting shot multiple time and still playing that season. Ban incoming.
He ain't Kobe and he ain't 50 Cent. He was stabbed by Benzino. As for farewell tours, Dr J, Kareem, Jordan, and Kobe. All I can remember. And Jordan's own teammates didn't get him anything. Shows how much respect he had in that lockerroom. A Laker player cut up Kareems suit during his final regular season game when the Lakers presented him a boat. He was livid and had to leave in a uniform. Not sure if it was a prank or they hated him.
Stabbed, that's right, my bad. But that's my point, although I seriously doubt anyone here would deny him 1st ballot hof. But most players don't get the tour.
I don't know the criteria for "1st ballot", "2nd" etc. He'll get in. No doubt. But F him. He can roll that wheelchair to the Hall of Fame and then out into traffic.
I wouldn't give him 1st ballot. He needs time to think about what he's done. Maybe it will make him a better person. And I hope he goes in a Clipper. LMBO
Think about what he'd done? Lol over 26k points, 10 all star games, a title and MVP Finals, and 4 all NBA teams? I'm assuming you're talking about the wheelchair incident, but c'mon. Played at least 75 games 11 times. I get I'm in the wrong place to laud the virtues of career, but a top 30 player and you can argue a top 5 C bag. Sorry, I've always been a big fan of his game and his coming back after getting stabbed 11 times times in the neck, back and face at least evens out the wheelchair deal. Ban coming shortly?
