George shares an agent with both D'Angelo and Julius actually. I've read that they'd all like to play together (and their agent would love if they played together too).
Yeah I read Russell and Randle have the same agent, but I've seen Randle mostly thrown in to PG trades where only really one person here has suggested trading Russell for PG so I didn't even bother bringing it up.
http://www.silverscreenandroll.com/...rs-paul-george-nba-byron-scott-indiana-pacers Maybe Rob and Magic can't talk to PG but Kobe sure can. Waiting a year is great for us. We have another year to improve and let our assets grow and also to make sure PG plays another injury-free year.
Thus the summer workout. No way PG has convinced Kobe to have it with him if Kobe didn't find it necessary or someone(Magic) telling him it is. Sent from my E6533 using Tapatalk
Why not? Kobe still has his workout routines and Kawhi Leonard, Westbrook, Kyrie, Carmelo and others have all gone down to Newport for long periods to train with Kobe without Magic Johnson asking him to or them looking at the Lakers as FAs. It's a good thing for sure but saying there's "no way" Kobe would do it unless he knew PG was going to the Lakers? Hell he trained Bruce Bowen back when Bowen was one of Kobe's biggest rivals.
I think there's some from both sides. Sure Paul George can and should have gone to workout with Kobe whenever for the last few years, but there is absolutely significance in the timing. It's no coincidence that they're meeting now of all times when Paul George is trying so hard to force his way to LA. Kobe will 100% use this as a recruiting tool and will 100% report back to LA everything Paul George wants.
Agreed. As I said in my prior post Kobe can talk to PG. My point was that there wasn't "No way PG" could convince Kobe to train otherwise as was said. Kobe always helps out those that ask. That said, of course they are going to talk Lakers, PG also as much as said so in the article. And really Kobe is our best "rep" for it as it's legal since he's technically not with the Lakers and yet he easily carries as much weight as Magic.
Just to add to this...If there is, or will be, a plan in PG's camp to hold fast as reported, maybe put out anti-trade notices to the C-Bags etc throughout 2017-2018, hell let him get traded to Boston and then screw those douchbags like Dwight did to us by signing with us anyways. We are set so much better with this FO than before. First of all Kobe, backed by his bestie, Pelinka and his pal Magic (I have no doubt these 3 are a triumvirate in coherts for the Lakers benefit, you'd be a total fool not to think so), will handle PG13. Easily. Yes the C-Bags could realistically make an offer to change things but is PG in Boston gonna take down LB who is somehow getting better and a few years left easily and GSW?. Maybe in 3 years. But where do you want to be in 3 years? In Boston or LA with a bunch of prime youngin's runnin' with ya in your hometown?
"But where do you want to be in 3 years? In Boston or LA with a bunch of prime youngin's runnin' with ya in your hometown?" Boston during its Nor'easters L.A. during Boston's Nor'easters
Or you just listen to what Kobe serving as Magic and Rob's alter ego has to say. Sent from my E6533 using Tapatalk
I think as far as PG, it's easy IMO.. either Pacers take on Deng/Moz with someone like Clark(whose starting to get up there in $) for a year advancement on George or we simply re-evaluate how things are going at the deadline.
Who's up for a wager? I have PG going to LA this summer. Book it. If the Pacers keep him, they're like prepping themselves to just blow the whole organization up with one huge whip, PG walking out next season especially since many of their role players greatly depends on whether or not he stays. It's a lot more than him alone. An organization is at risk. So they'll settle for a crumb of a crumb. Whatever they can get out of a PG trade is a lot more than nothing. I feel bad for them actually. We keep saying we've been a laughing stock in the league for the last 5 years. Well, we can go on for another 5 and we'll be fine. Pacers is a small market team and having a player of PG's caliber is a rarity for them. But it's their fault they're losing their biggest asset. So I take it back. Sent from my E6533 using Tapatalk
What is your current trade proposition to get this done then? I don't think it happens this summer, I could see trade deadline and see if we can get in the playoffs to build upon something and hopefully getting another star.
28, Clarkson and one other asset not Ingram, Randle, Russell and #2. Do we have any future picks to offer? Checked it. Nada. Only second round. We need a third party. At worst is to keep #2, Ingram, Randle/Russell. Then add PG and one more decent to B-list player. That would make us 6th-8th seed material. We'll be then in a better position to attract better players come 2018 FA to gun for a Top 4 seed. Getting ahead, I know. Sent from my E6533 using Tapatalk
Pretty much offering what I proposed for Butler but I also threw in Tarik Black as well. Then we outright sign PG next year. Or we'll trade Randle, second rounder,Moz for George and Myles Turner looks like a rip off but at the deadline where possibly just getting a half a season rental advancement on George(them knowing he's gonna walk over for free). Randle and Moz in the East would be solid. Re-sign Teague and Stevenson to go along with Ellis and groom young talent. Teague Ellis Stevenson Randle Moz If they hit on a pick or two and Randle emerges...in the East, they can be competitive fairly quick again.
Myles Turner and PG, you murderer! About the rest, we'll see what's gonna happen. I just don't see PG walking away from any team to sign with the Lakers as a possibility. Sent from my E6533 using Tapatalk
