meaning he forced a trade to the clippers (has this ever happened?) after spurning the lakers in FA the year before. turning around and dealing him (for what would be a net loss, btw) is a bad look to anyone else thinking of following that path. people pay attention to this stuff. AD is a laker and not a C bag because we take care of our stars--i believe this. if the clippers want to try to build themselves long-term, they need to find a way to make things work with their two guys. if things don't work, they need to make sure they're on good terms with them when they leave. so, if they're actually shopping him, i feel like this is old clippers stuff. which is great for us. means i overestimated ballmer.
When I first heard the media appoint the Clippers as champions in waiting, I thought to myself 'do they remember who Paul George is?'
PG has done just about every single thing wrong. Glad we got to witness it instead of live it. I almost feel sorry for him.
Honestly I find it a real shame. I was a big fan of his when he was first in the league, I still remember vividly when I saw his horrific injury happen live with Team USA, I felt sick about it. I rooted for him in the playoffs against any LeBron teams too. But he just screwed up by not sticking to his guns and wanting to come to the Lakers after demanding that trade from the Pacers. Then he had a chance to fix that too and instead he chose Russell Westbrook over LeBron James. That’s where it ended for me, that whole awful tv show about making his decision and the partying with Westbrook with the cigars like they won something. If you don’t want to play with LeBron that’s one thing, that’s fine, I’d get that from plenty of other stars, but having already put it out there that you want to come and play at home again and then the opportunity presents itself to play on the Lakers with LeBron, I have to question your judgement if you turn that down. The Clipper trade was sort of out of his control I get, but the hyping things up once it happened and then crapping the bed in the playoffs was not, and he deserves all the heat he takes for that stuff.
Well Paula Wayoff P has taken the Clippers money with Max extension. Do you feel this is good news or less than best news of them trading his a**? After all the humiliation and mocking will this make him a better player and more dangerous? Wonder if they will do same with Snake like we did with our 2 Max contract Stars? Will be interesting to see considering they have to have some reservations about his health and availability going forward. You'd think at least. https://sports.yahoo.com/report-pau...-with-clippers-through-2024-25-182423959.html
Off topic but I just googled to find out what kind of company Bumble was that is on the Clippers jersey. It’s a online dating app lol. That’s the best you could do Ballmer?
it sounds funny, but that company is massive. (Parent Company) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Match_Group#:~:text=Match Group, Inc.&text=Match Group, Inc. is a,global dating companies [1]. Bumble is famous for ONLY letting the woman initiate any conversation. One major complaint of dating apps by women is being flooded with messages from people they don't want to talk to. They bought Bumble for 450 million in 2017. The dating app business is HUGE business, as it's the way people most commonly meet nowadays.
Well while he's here if he's multi faceted and likes other sports himself as a fan and baseball happens to be that other passion he would be better off in some other city where he could go to the games without a disguise and be actually cheered. Instead of being boo'd out of Dodger Stadium literally without a disguise. Forever. That will always be hilarious. Or the Rams games. :Carusohearthands:
It’s very good news, for fans of other teams. Paul George ain’t that guy. That guy doesn’t have an O-fer in the 4th quarter or a WCF game 7. They’re locked into a really good, but not good enough player now, maybe one step up from DeRozan. He’ll either lose year after year, or recruit another buddy to play there and it also won’t work same as it did with his brother Westbrook, and I doubt he survives the entire contract as a Clipper anyway, whether by his demanding out or them using him to get “better”.
I wonder if Kawhi stays or not. Be curious to see how his health holds up this year. He may be wise to lock in a max contract if they will offer it. Maybe they haven’t offered and aren’t sold on him long term? If so, could be extra fun as well, seeing how much they gave up to get him. Sound like a spoiled primadonna
