Well if I'm the Lakers I would rather go last in the FA meetings to leave that lasting impression. But my guess is that whenever PG is done with all the FA meetings he wants to do he'll go back to OKC one more time before deciding.
Yeah, but even LeBron who already supposedly has made up his mind, moved to LA, enrolled his kids in school, is still giving the Cavs and other teams a meeting (even if through his agent).
OK where's OX? Are you still maintaining 12:01AM or we looking at I think simply OKC getting the 1st meeting before PG meets with Magic and Rob? Guessing it wasn't your most expensive house wagered .... but then I'm sure the 2nd one at risk is nice enough. What's your (always most accurate take) of everybody here ..... concerning this party tonight with allegedly OKC FO personnel in attendance .... that Westbrook broke off from his family's Hawaiian vacation to put on?
Adrian Wojnarowski Verified account @wojespn 3s3 seconds ago More Sources: Thunder GM Sam Presti wanted to hold the Thunder's meeting with Paul George in OKC -- with a party that's one more element to the franchise's year-long recruiting effort on George. OKC officials, George and his agent are meeting tonight.
See I read this as its just a meeting but with a party. The party is part of the meeting. Trying to really wow PG
Thunder would have to waive and stretch Carmelo for 3 years to save 80 million in tax if they sign Paul George.
That's got to be the most awkward party if PG isn't going to sign. Almost like those awkward marriage proposals that happen at half time when the girl says no...
This goes back to the old Chris Haynes tweet: they don't want to get in a room with Magic. They are afraid that Paul will be persuaded. Everybody knows that Magic is a master salesman. He will persuade George. OKC's best defense; don't leave PG leave OKC without signing a deal.
We need a Lakers intervention for Paul; unfortunately, we may not get it. If we do get a room, it will be an intervention. Paul needs help, ladies and gents...
