So how you feeling about your son getting his a** handed to him by all three major shoe companies? Because you never disciplined his a** as a kid ......

It's not his kid's fault, and I'm not even sure it's about discipline. The dad is a raving lunatic.

If his dad isn't a complete idiot, Ball has a shoe deal right now. If he ends up on the Lakers, he still probably gets one anyway.

C'mon now! To whom was I speaking? We all know it's not the grandson's fault.

Punk would probably agree that there were signs as little Lavar was growing up that he needed psychological help big time .... to keep him from growing up to be a complete a-hole. But "Pops" didn't take care of business one way or the other.

Damn! Damn damn damn! Too much time spent on the Raiders draft and (to a lesser degree) semester end s***. Sorry.

So I've been reading a lot about all this pg13 hooplah, and listening to all the scenarios. I really like our core of young kids, and hate to see them be split so prematurely. The only one I can honestly part with and have no heartaches is clarkson, who's still a pretty damn good player who I think has progressed significantly after each season...

I'm no expert gm, nor am I gonna pretend to be, or fully understand how the cba works... but would Indiana be willing to trade George for clarkson, our first pick, our pick we got from Houston and deng (for matching money reasons). Is that a bad trade on our end? Is that robbery? Or is that trade scenario just a pipe dream?

Trade works but if you were indy would you really take back deng? If the pick from us is #1 i guess it could be more palatable to indy, they'll just suck for next 2-3 yrs and let fultz/turner dvelop together

For a top 3 pick, clarkson and another first round pick? To me that sounds really attractive... especially when you're gonna rebuild.. isn't it?

I'm too scared that a trade for George will be a one year rental. I would only trade our current pick and Deng if that's the case.

Then trade for Butler and see if we cant improve enough next season to lure pg here as a fa....
Id offer deng/jc/top 3 for butler, difference here is butler is under contract for 2 more seasons amd chi has familiarity with Deng so maybe they have some sentimental attachment to him, certainly more appleaing to chi than indy to take deng

Deng can be quite attractive as part of an inconspicuous tank package. He can provide 10 guaranteed losses while simultaneously raising your team's average age by 4-5 years. Both factors that make the tank less obvious to fans and onlookers.

I think it was Cowherd who mentioned that, Bird is/was willing to trade PG - but Pacers ownership is looking to sell in the near future, and wants to retain PG so that the franchise is priced higher during the sale. Hence Bird's resignation.

Take that with a grain of salt. There is probably a lot of stuff going on behind the scenes in Indy, and the situation is probably changing as we speak. I desperately want PG on this squad just like the next person, but I won't believe he's coming to LA until he holds up the purple and gold jersey during a press conference.

Shedding salary is more valuable to prospective buyers.
