July 1st needs to come quickly so Magic can get him in a room. Magic will sell him on the Lakers, I'm confident about that.
His wife, his parents, and other members of his family are pushing him here; they want him HERE by all reports. Russ is whispering his ear, OKC management, players, staff, etc; and we haven't begun to talk to him (other than besides Hart) yet. He needs to make the right decision for him and his family and only he know where that is...in the end, I think Magic just needs a room with him. I know OKC is going to try to prevent that; but I think we get him in that room with Lebron and see what happens...
Stephen A Smith was on Travis and Marcellus on 710 ESPN this evening and he elaborated when saying Paul’s wife and parents want him in LA. He mentioned Paul’s mom is in a wheelchair. As selfish from a basketball standpoint, if that’s his personal life... he’s definitely coming. I have a hard time believing PG turning his back from being with his wife and kids, handicapped mom, dad who are all in LA. If the wheelchair thing about his mom is true, I remember at the end of the season Westbrook was asked what his approach to PG will be to convince him where to go in free agency. Westbrook said something along the lines like PG is like a brother and he just wants him to be happy. Sounds like Westbrook knows what’s going on in PG’s personal life and that his entire family wants him in LA.
The minute restrictions during regular season aren’t the issue. Chris Paul goes hard in the playoffs, that’s when he gets injuries, playing at a 110% effort. Without him playing st that level you won’t ever beat the warriors. So to me he is fools gold because his body can’t handle the level of play he can reach long enough in the playoffs to win a championship.
Today is my birthday and may God grant me my only wish for this day even if it arrives late, say 9 days late. My profile says July 23. It's June 23 ladies and gents and admins of this board. Sent from my E6533 using Tapatalk
Another way of looking at this is that for PG to come here is added pressure. Maybe he has his hands full as is with family and OKC is a respite from a job standpoint. Maybe it provides him enough distance to have some independence while being able to care for his family. And more money.
Or he wants westbrook and okc fans to think this is the hardest decision ever but he leaves anyways lolz.
Is that like one of those anti-jinx things? Or Jedi mind trick.? Because nope, still www.ihatelebron.com
We get PG and free agency will start rolling. We don't and we kiss our last hopes of landing Bron, Kawhi and anyone else that leads to a formidable Lakers team next season goodbye. We've been saying it time and again. Experts have been saying it over and over and I'll say it one last time, HE IS and SHOULD BE OUR FIRST DOMINO TO FALL. It happens and the floodgates to dreams and hopes of watching a playoff bound competitive Lakers team will open up. We don't, well we wait for our young guns to develop while in the meantime enjoying another sub.500 disappointment. To quote(not in toto), "he may not be the most talented, but he's the most important player" in our FA this year. Sent from my E6533 using Tapatalk
Dudes when Vegas is on your side...its in the bag. These aren't playoff odds. It's like them giving you points on the cavs Vs the warriors. Warriors are the favorite so that's the bottom...
