Philly is still a little bit of a question mark. Until they actually do it, they are still emerging. I mean, they lost to a C Bags team with no Kyrie and no Hayward. But Lebron knows if his old buddy was playing, Boston beats them. With both Hayward AND Kyrie...Lebron's days of coming out of the East unchallenged are over. The Bucks are even a move or so away from beating this current version of the Cavs. Lebron can't look at the East as an automatic Finals bid anymore, which helps us.

Absolutely... when there is smoke there is fire. There has been enough whispers that there is some truth to him wanting out of Cleveland.

I'm not sure it's even him wanting out of Cleveland as much as it's him wanting to win. He can't do that in Cleveland without the Cavs somehow finding evidence that the Pelicans owner is a Russian spy and blackmailing them into taking Tristan Thompson and JR Smith for Anthony Davis.

yeah, it's not impossible for cleveland to get better, imo. as i mentioned in the other thread, guys like wall and cousins (via S&T) may be available for assets at the #8 pick level.

If they were going to deal it, they would have. At this point they wont trade it unless LeBron is actively signed on a new contract.

I'm with Realdeal in the thinking that they would have traded that pick a while ago. The pick will have to be traded before Lebron can sign. Do you trade the 8th pick which could become a star for you (granted it's unlikely, but I suppose it could end up a star) for Demar DeRozan or someone like that? Does Lebron look at Derozan and Love as the difference between getting swept by the Warriors and beating them? Does Cousins working himself back into game shape off an achilles close that gap?

I think the "trade the pick for Lebron help" ship sailed after the trade deadline.

you're both probably right, but they could just make the best pick possible and then tell lebron during negotiations that they'll move that player's rights for someone if that's what he wants. they could wait to sign the player until they know lebron's FA decision.

They could, but it's not a great sales pitch.

I keep hearing from ESPN "LeBron doesn't have any great options, he might stay" but I can't see why he would. That team could have helped him win a title and instead they kept their piece. I think that was the final straw for him leaving. Look at how he's beating himself into the ground to try to win this year, he's going to look at them and say, "if you'd gotten me Paul George, we all have a title right now. I'm out". At that point they can say, "we'll trade the pick!" but I feel like the damage is done and the bridge is burnt.

seems like every report right now on pg bavk to okc is soley based on russ relationship, nothing bout possible future flexibilty, winning, etc. I know pg also touch on loss of robertson but theres is no way you can tell me robertston is the difference between a 1st rd exit and being a true contender ,if thats the case Robertson is the GOAT of defensive wing lol

If LeBron and PG13 have a discussion about coming to the Lakers, how does that not end with them coming here? How does that get derailed? "I dunno Bron, Oklahoma City is beautiful in spring, with the smell of cowsh#t wafting every which way in the afternoon. Plus, Westbrook and Melo both promised to pass the ball to me more this season."

    Please.
